This Ginseng Ten Treasure tea comes in a resealable plastic bag. The package states that this tea is best when consumed within 90 days, although the expiration date printed on the label is 18 months from the date of manufacture.These plump teabags are filled with an assortment of dried fruits and medicinal herbs. Once placed in hot water to steep, the contents of the teabag begins to swell, and the bag becomes very large.Upon tasting the tea for the first time, I noticed a very strong, dark brew with a flat, smokey flavor. Considering all the dried fruits in this tea blend - including goji berries, mulberries and red dates - it is surprising that this tea does not have a more fruity taste.Each bag produces a very strong brew per cup, but the package states that one of these large teabags could also be used to brew a entire pot of tea, if a milder flavor is desired.

At first I had to get use to the taste, but overall it’s a great product. I do plan on repurchasing again.

I am not a huge tea drinker, but I have been trying to get into it. It certainly is a journey of flavors. This is not my favorite... it is pretty bland to me as is, though the bags are loaded with a bunch of different things that look like berries and herbs, quite pretty actually. I tried a cup with sugar, that did not help. I am not sure how to make this taste better though I did add a bit of sweet creamer to my second cup and it does give it a little pop. The best thing about this tea is the aroma which is actually quite nice, just wish that translated into a bigger flavor profile.

Not sure of what it dose yet, the taste and color are strange so I had to add sugar and another bag of black tea each time … I believe it is not needed and not worth it but I could be wrong.
