Insulated bucket holder
Heavy duty bucket holder, easy to hang, It has not been cold enough yet for my buckets to freeze in the stalls over night, but that has been a problem in past winters so I am hoping this will no longer be an issue. I like the size of the holder and a 5 gallon home depot bucket fits perfect. Happy with purchase

Perfect for Non-heated Barns
Perfect for Iowa summers and winters. Keeps water cool in the summer and warm enough to avoid freezing in the winter. A must for non-heated barns.

Doesn't keep water unfrozen on the surface
I purchased two of these for my box stalls in our unheated barn. It does keep the water from freezing on the bottom and about 3/4 of the way up the inserted bucket within the insert. Works better if only fill water up to where the insulated portion starts. Even so, ice will form (about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick) on the surface when below 0 and in the single digits. When the temperature is 25' or above, does work fine. For the price, I guess I was expecting no ice build up when it got down into the single digits. I have tried using the circular float, but it just gets frozen in the layer of ice on the surface.

Just as described.
It comes just as described. Has a cover to float on top of water and trap heat. Fits a standard 5 gallon bucket, round. Installed in our horse shelter, out of the wind, 4 sided barn with open door and plexi window south facing. We've had below zero temps for weeks now and my water still froze in these pretty much right away. May work in milder climates or when not consistently so cold for days on end, only time will tell.

It has worked as far as keeping the water unfrozen (the main purpose). It was slightly warped visually (and would "rock" on a flat surface), but the function was unaffected. There are not many options or alternatives, so I will give this 4 stars since it has served the function during this very cold winter for some pets.
