My daughter loves this, but she already knows about 95% of this. I didn't realise at the time of purchase as we got the app from iTunes. She really needs the next level up. In any case this is a great way to learn. We love the DVDs.She's 3 and can already read 50+ words, I'm hoping this will help her with her reading.

Using this for my grandchildren who are at the beginning stages of learning to read. Hooked on phonics is one of the best tools I’ve used to help children learn to read in a fun way. We all learn better with rhyme. Very worthwhile investment.

easy to understand for the child

I am a teacher and love phonics. It has been a joy to start phonics with my almost 3 year old. We are taking it slow and I supplement with other activities throughout the week but this could stand alone as it is really great. I love all of the resources it comes with! My little one especially likes the alphabet song!

This was an excellent purchase. We have only done the alphabet song and the first lesson, but, so far, it is excellent. The songs, the on-line games, are all well done. My only request would be to give more guidelines in teaching rhyming words; this part was not easy and, I feel that more guidelines or tips for teaching this notion should be included.

Bought for my two kids who are having a hard time reading they are loving it can't wait to buy the other levels and proud to say they are learning how to read
