Only Military MREs include an accessory pack with flavor enhancing seasonings, matches, toilet paper, and other survival essentials. SHELF LIFE: MREs do not have an expiration date. They have an inspection date and a pack date. The Inspection date is three years after the pack date, and the inspection date is the date the Military inspects the cases during long term storage to verify they are still fit for consumption. Manufacturers suggest that meal contents are good for approximately 5 or more years when stored at room temperature. Meals stored in cooler temperatures stay fresh longer. Always inspect the red Time Temperature Indicator (TTI) found on top of the case and verify it is red. Western Frontier MREs are always stored in climate controlled warehouse. Not quality
Boxes were not factory sealed. And packeges inside were ripped and attempted to be repaired with the hot glue used to seal the box

Call me a lazy meal prepper, but I am a regular consumer of MREs in my line of work due to their convenience, calorie density, general macronutrient balance, and relative inexpensiveness given the options available to me. On most work days, I can easily hit my macro goals with Huel and an MRE without having to put much thought into it, and it works out to like $10 a day. For me that’s easy and cheap. I like easy and cheap.I bought (and received) two cases of MREs from Ozark Outdoorz—the bundle of menus A and B. I’m a Marine Corps veteran and well versed on the ‘ins and outs’ of MREs, the various companies that make and pack them, and what to look for in terms of freshness, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of items I received.The cases arrived in perfect condition, each with the original manufacturer’s (Sopakco) black strapping tight against the outside, and then both were bound together with white strapping. The boxes were entirely undamaged, and have original dot matrix printing indicating they were packed in December 2017. The Time and Temperature Indicators (TTI, the orange stickers to check freshness) appear to be original as well, and show that the cases have been properly stored to maintain freshness.I cracked open Case A and the meals inside all have date codes indicating they were manufactured in the last week of November and the first week of December 2017, consistent with the dates on the boxes.I’ve eaten two from this shipment so far, and found the quality to be just as I would expect from an MRE manufactured yesterday.If there’s anyone else who is on the fence (like I was) wondering about the quality to expect from this seller, hopefully this answers a few of those questions. I will definitely be making another purchase in a month or so.

The real deal
It's the real thing and not some thrown together crap every thing was sealed perfect no damage opened it up all menus were there and everything was fresh and tasted great, I know a thing or three about MREs I did 13yrs in the Army and the Guard

Shipped on time and exactly what was advertized.
At first after opening the boxes I was not sure things were all they should have been. But this is the first time I have ever gotten MRE's in case format. I ordered A and B and received what I ordered. But when looking at each bag in both cases there was no date stamp on the bags. At first I thought this was wrong. I opened one meal from each box and found the dates inside to be what I expected. So I looked further into government MRE's. After doing some deeper investigation I found out that each bag can be missing the date stamp, this is normal. I am very happy with what I ordered, however some of the meals as expected are not grate, but it is what it is. Box B, tuna, will never be my favorite but I did eat it, no surprise. I will be ordering more of the same as soon as I have my storage area organized. The heaters are working very well at this age.

Gr8 value purchase. Price seems to be expensive but if ya break it down its about $7 per packet.
Wasnt sure but needed to find out about MRE's. Taste good and very surprised what each meal packet actual has. Each packet includes main entree, dessert, snack, two drink packets, dental hygene, plus, plus....

Easy prep meals when camping
Product arrived promptly and as shown. There are a wide variety of meals included. We have used the meals on a couple of boy scout camping trips. The boys had no problems following the instructions and they all enjoyed the meals.

i would recommend this item to anyone looking for MREs they are fresh and very good the service was quick and the product arrived with no damage i have purchased these last year and again the same great quality i would strongly recommend anyone looking for MREs to consider this as a great choice

Tastes good.
Packaged well product is exactly as expected I have tried several of the meals and they taste fine. it’s not top shelf food but it is entirely edible. Great for camping or emergency food. Some meals come with flameless heaters and some don’t need one.
