wow!!! incredibly fast shipping from Mix Wholesale. I ordered it on Thursday..it arrived on Saturday (and I live in Georgia). put it together in less than 20 minutes and powered it up! So easy to assemble!! Can't wait to use this on my 4b/c natural hair!! will update again after more use.Update: This dryer is fantastic!! Dried my freshly washed, dense, chin length 4b/c hair in about 40 minutes! on medium heat!! I did not need neck covers or ear protectors at all. I have a pic of the size rollers I used; they fit with AMPLE space under the hood. It's also very quiet--I had no trouble having a conversation on my phone; easily watched television. I haven't had to duct tape anything, it's pretty sturdy, a little wobbly, but not I'm not moving around a lot if I'm sitting under the dryer anyway..Basically, I love it and I'm SO GLAD i didn't waste my money on a Pibb or PEBCO brand. I don't own a salon, but it's great for home use and is a million times better than standing in front of my mirror trying to dry my hair with a handheld blowdryer.

#1 - this thing is gigantic! #2 it uses an egg timer that goes "tick, tick, tick - ding!" It is super annoying #3 while the stand is very sturdy, the dryer itself is not so much - I ordered one and it only lasted 1 week before it started only blowing cold air. I know some things just fail, but keep in mind this is a very large, heavy, bulky item. It seems like a deal at about $100, but the seller does not pay for returns and the cost to ship it back is $100. So if you buy it you are pretty much stuck with it. #4 There is no fan adjustment. I love that you can adjust the temperature (when it makes warm/hot air), but it only blows on high. Sometimes my hair would be blown into crazy places and dry that way. I ended up getting the hot tools ionic dryer in place of this one. I've only had it 2 days, but like it well so far. Will rate it later. It doesn't have the temp adjustment (just warm and hot), has fan adjustment, and ionic option. I think it'll work if it lasts. Fingers crossed.

I am a professional hairstylist, in a small single suite. The positives are that it was very easy to put it together. It is very quiet while it is turned on and you can have a conversation with a client and not have to yell through the noise of the dryer. The hood fits comfortably over a large wide space, for example with large rollers or wide space that has of foils. The flap opens up to have a client sit in it and you can open the flap if it starts to get a little stuffy inside. The negatives are that it doesn't adjust very well while adjusting the height. The base of the dryer is very bulky and wide, but needs to be because the hood is large. Therefor, for professionals, make sure that the chair that the dryer is with has actual legs that can go over the base, not a flat based chair, the dryer will not go over the back of the chair to comfortably go over someone's head.

The reason I bought this dryer was because I wanted to stop wasting my money going to the salon and just do my hair myself. I have African American, relaxed hair with a black color rinse. I set out on a hair journey to use all the products and tools my stylist uses on my hair so I could just do my hair myself.First let me talk about the shipping. I live in Orlando, Florida. I purchased the dryer around 11am on a Thursday and received it the very next day (Friday) around 4pm. Not sure if Mix warehouse is located near me, but I was so pleased with the speedy delivery. Now I originally wanted to purchase this dryer in black but there was only one left and I have this fear about buying the last of an item because I think it has the potential to be defective. So I decided to go with the dryer in white because it got overall better reviews.Putting it together is very easy. I will say that it came with only one sheet of instructions and they were very vague. But using the pictures and your common sense you can figure out what goes where. The dryer is fairly tall and the hood is very large. I have a peanut size head but someone with a larger head can definitely fit comfortably under it. I'm short (5ft 1in) and it adjusts perfectly to my height so that I can sit in my chair comfortably.The controls for temperature are in Celsius but thats not really an issue because there is blue, yellow, and red coloring indicating cool, medium and hot. There is also a timer which sounds like a timer used for baking. It's fairly loud when you are under the dryer. It made me jump in my chair the first time it went off. The dryer is extremely quiet as well. My favorite part about the dryer is that it is low in wattage. Its only 1000 watts. A conventional microwave is about 1200-1300 watts and most people use that everyday. So the dryer is very cost effective compared to some of these dryers being sold with 2000+ watts. The dryer also gets very hot. I normally use it on 60 degrees Celsius which is the first hot setting and it is goes up to 75 degrees Celsius. Overall, I am very pleased with this dryer. It is worth the investment and will save you alot of time and money making trips to the salon.

I use this dryer weekly to do my roller set and blow out at home. I have very long hair that takes 90 minutes or more to dry in the salon. Little table top hair dryers are not an option for me. I've had this dryer for almost 2 years and it's still great.One look at it after assembly should tell you that it's top heavy and needs to lean against something if the pole is pulled up to close to full height. So I don't critique it for that issue. My one problem is that the mechanism that adjusts the height wasn't very sturdy and broke a while back. Because it's top heavy the pole bent forward and since I'm tall there was a lot of pressure on the plastic piece. I've had to tape the dryer at the height that I use it. It's not a terrible issue since my daughter and I are the same height. I wish I could fix it rather than replace it which isn't worth it since it works great. I store it in a corner leaning towards the wall and that keeps it from falling. Easy.This dryer is absolutely worth it. I've saved a ton of money doing my hair at home.Also : Turning the little metal plate in the bottom keeps the legs in place.
