Your 3 year old kids could get this grass to grow!!
This product is pretty good and i would say I’ve had pretty good luck with this stuff. Did a small seat wall around my mailbox and had dirt around the outer part of the wall that needed grass. I bought this and used a little more than half of it where i needed and used the rest on small bare spots. Im no stranger to seeding so this was an easy project to get done. If you prep the areas where you will be putting this stuff, the grass will grow. I watered this 2 maybe 3 times a day for about a week and a half and started to see grass sprouting. It’s nice that this stuff stays moist for a long time. Could save you when it’s a tad warm out. With in 3 to 4 weeks the appearance of it blended in with my grass and you can’t even tell dirt was there before. The other spots rooted well except one large spot. Half of it rooted great the rest no so great. I mowed these spots after 6 weeks and even tugged on the grass to make sure it was rooted but my mower pulled up a small spot where i had put this product down. No big deal. Just bought more to do other spots i have. So far this is the easiest and fastest patch repair I’ve used.

Works if you Water Religiously
I get great results with this stuff IF, and it is a big IF, I consistently water twice a day for the first 3 or 4 days and then once a day after. The grass grows. If you let it dry out you're done and have wasted a bunch of money.I took a star off because it does not cover the area it says if you want real grass coverage. Basically covers half of the area it says unless you want one blade of grass every 6 inches. It is also a bit expensive.

Didn't work for me
These photos are from when I first used this product on August 3rd, almost four weeks later on August 29th, September 16th, and November 16th. I didn't feel the need to label them because they all look the same.I picked various places around the yard that all had different access to sun and foot tread, I tilled the soil, poured the seeds, watered them consistently, kept my dogs and lawn mowers away from the spots.... And nothing. I haven't noticed a GD thing. I don't know if it's something I did or didn't do or if this product sucks but either way, nothing happened.

Needs a lot of water
I have dog who likes to use the yard to go so I have quite a few yellow spots. I have applied it on the spots and so far have not seen new growth. Maybe it takes some time. Not that impressed so far.

This stuff works well!
Much easier than a bag of seeds. Pre-mixed with fertilizer and soil.

Slow growing and sparse results, disappointed
Used this for some bare spots in my lawn. We get full sun so I followed instructions. Seed mixed in with brown mulch. Seems easy, watering results in dark mulch color and as it dries out it lightens signaling time to water again. I have a sprinkler systems but also hand watered the spots to keep moist. Just seemed to take 3+ weeks to START growing and only a portion of each area grew. I didn't check if there was a "best buy" date and maybe seeds were too old? I've tried this twice now and very disappointed in it. I think regular grass seed in aerated lawn and with peat moss, sand or other lawn soil covering is the solid way to seed/over-seed.
