I’m 72 and haven’t kept a regular skin routine all these years, so I wasn’t expecting a miracle. However I was pleasantly surprised to find this product that worked this well-ESPECIALLY AT THIS PRICE! I had used the name brand Retin-A from a dermatologist a few times and loved the quick results, but couldn’t afford the $60.00 a tube price (it’s more now). This product (Retinol 0.1% Gel), did everything I was hoping for: didn’t burn my skin, peeled and tightened. I didn’t see any instructions, but I knew how important it was to apply correctly from my dermatologiist, so here’s my tips:1. ALWAYS apply to clean, dry skin, full strength.(especially before first application use soft facial brush, etc. to remove dead skin).2. Expect peeling in 5-7 days (will peel like a sunburn, not flake). I’ve found applying moisturizer under make up doesn’t stop peeling, but helps make up look better during this process. Not pretty, but necessary!3. Keep using! The goal is smooth, shiny, tight skin, and even at 72 I was happy with the results.(I gave 4 stars out of 5 only because the peeling wasn’t as good (deep?) as my $60.00/tube brand, but this is a wonderful product and I will continue to use it).

I’m writing this review to let you know that if you buy this stuff, be prepared to peel. Do not be alarmed. It’s doing exactly what it’s meant to. I am a veteran Retin A, retinol user. Usually, I purchase Vitacid from eBay, but it’s been unavailable on that platform for some time. I’ve tried other replacements like…that one formula that starts with a D. Can’t remember it’s name. At any rate, I have found the holy grail, so to speak. The only neg I have to relay is that this stuff is greasy. It does not feel as good as Retin A, or Vitacid. These two are absorbed right away. This is not a cream. This will sit on your skin for a few minutes before it’s absorbed. However, the grease does fade. You’ll just need to be a little patient. Oh, and when I do peel from this stuff? I take a break for a day, sometimes two. I say this as at his very time while writing this review, my upper lip is peeling so much that it was a mistake to put lipstick on, lol. But this is what propelled me to write this. I wanted to make sure that y’all know what your getting. It’s the real deal. And, yes, I definitely see improvement with the fine lines on my upper lip as well as my forehead. I recommend this, and I will definitely be ordering more for as long as it’s available. And I’m betting that this stuff, like anything else that works (like the Vitacid I can no longer find) will eventually disappear.
