Alpha Medical8" Elasto-Fit Abdominal Support Binder. L0625 (Small)

Overall this is a good product but I gave it 4 stars because of the velcro closure.The velcro grips really really tightly. That could be a good thing but for us it makes it difficult to get the velcro to release and it also causes the surface, where the velcro grips, to get all fuzzy.I have another brand that works just as good but the velcro doesn't grip as hard and the surface doesn't get torn up.If that is important to you, don't use this product.

Works well and is discreet under clothing. Sizing is a bit tough, I was right at the cut off per their sizing from the large to extra large. I went with the XL and its long enough to wrap around me almost two times. That much extra length make sit hard to get on tight enough to help with my hernia and not have to pull it so tight it rolls up and feels like it's cutting me in half. I think if there was Velcro facing one side on one end and the other side on other end it would be great. Then I could pull more easily keep the extra length from sliding as I tried to cinch it.

Read the sizing! I ordered a large and boy howdy is it large. I have a 38" waist and I had my wife cut 8" off and sow a new seam. The binder is well made and flexible, a bit scratchy/rough on the skin at first but after a few washes it gets better. The Velcro is very strong so every time you take the belt off it pulls at the belts fabric, ripping it more and more. With light use once or twice a week I believe this binder will last at least a couple years. Someone wearing it constantly may need to order a new one yearly.

I am a female and wear size 18-20 pants. This (large) was too big for me. It could wrap around me almost 2 times! This makes it near to impossible to put it on by myself. I bought it for hernia support. I've tried to wear it several times but it's just too big and I can't get it tight enough.

I've tried a number of abdominal binders and find this to be the best I've found.I find most binders too wide vertically causing it to roll, too hot in warm weather, too uncomfortable in general. Most I find to be at least somewhat visible under clothing.For me the 8" size is perfect. The material is light weight, VERY breathable, very comfortable even in hot weather, but still works very well giving the required support. The material is so thin it is well hidden under clothes - the best I've found for visibility. I wear it with the "seam" rotated over to my side instead of in front which I think helps hide it.Perfect solution to the problem.

The binder is very comfortable and gives me the support I need. I have only one small problem with it ---- I am short waisted and if the binder is not positioned right, it will fold over either at the waist or at the hips. I would recommend this binder for those who have a normal or long waist line.

Binder was too wide for my small stature and therefore encased both ribs and hips. Since there is more bone in rib and hip than in stomach where I needed the support, I could only pull the band tight around hip/ribs. Not tight enough to work with umbilical hernia.

I am satisfied with the product.

very useful if you have a hernia. It is good for back or abdominal support. Tip is to sew up the velcro to the size you require.

I am most satisfied with this product.Easy to use and unobtrusive.My adominal hernia is small and I was pleased that the product easily allowed me to cut some width and depth off.I do intend to order more of this product to allow for washing, etc.
