Connects easily; two gang voice command limited
The Smart Switch by Martin Jerry is a novel, space-saving concept. Basically, in the space of a typical 1 gang decorative switch you have a rocker switch that operate two separate devices. It arrived well packaged, but with a QR code instead of written instructions. I'm a bit 'old school' in that I prefer to have written installation instructions, but in this case the online option works well. You can access the online tutorial via the QR code. It's basically a wiring tutorial, and doesn't include any information about how to put the switch in pairing mode. Usually these devices have to start blinking to pair, so once I wired it into the box, I simply held down one rocker until the green light started blinking rapidly. The setup is through Smart Life, and once you see the blinking light it connects quickly. As with most Smart Life devices, you are given the option of changing the factory default names. In this case, you can change the name of the device itself, and also the "upper" and "lower" rocker switches to indicate what function (light, fan, etc) they are controlling. Here's where I ran into a bit of a challenge. The switch claims to work with Alexa, and it does to a point. Alexa recognized and 'included' the smart switch in devices I can control through voice command. However, I found that I could really only control one rocker switch or the other. Since I have a fan/light combo connected, I can control either the fan or the light, but not both. From the Smart Life app I can control both, as well as from the physical switch itself, of course. But voice commands only works for one option. I wrote the manufacturer to see if I had missed something in the naming or structuring of my commands, but have heard nothing back yet. In the meantime, I'm giving the Smart Switch a 3 star rating, in hopes that I'll eventually be able to revisit this review and augment my stars.Update: Revisiting the Youtube instructions accessed through the QR code, I discovered something I had missed before: There are two tutorials, and one of them does address the pairing process. Finding my way back to the video, however, was a bit tedious since the QR code is only printed on the side of the switch. Finding the tutorials required a seach of Youtube history. As for the voice control with Alexa, I'm still stuck with a 2 gang switch that only controls one function through Alexa. The only way to control the two functions (fan and light) is through Smart Life and the wall switch. I wrote the supplier, but the response was simply to direct me back to the tutorials - which do not address this problem. I would like to add stars, but cannot until this problem is corrected.UPDATE: I received a series of communications from MartinJerry, the final one indicating that my review had highlighted something their engineers had missed regarding the Alexa voice command function. They advised me that the problem had been corrected and asked that i delete the MartinJerry switch from Alexa and then go back and reconnect it. That did solve the issue, so the switch now working perfectly through Alexa with voice command, allowing me to choice between the two incorporated switches. I was very pleased with their responsiveness and obviously glad to have a fully functioning switch!

Solves the Problem of Fitting 2 Smart Switches into a Single Available Position (gang)-w/drawbacks
This unit comprises two wifi smart switches, each of which can be used to control a different load (the product page calls this 2-gang, but that term usually refers to the number of switch positions in an electrical box- this unit requires only a single position for installation).Similar 2 in 1 *manual* switches (fit into one position) are readily available elsewhere- what makes this one a bit special is that this has 2 *smart* wifi switches in one package. Very useful for the situation where 2 smart switches are needed to control, say, different lights, but there is only a single position electrical box.Like most other now ubiquitous smart switches, this unit is compatible with Alexa etc. Wiring is pretty standard and it is easy to install for any individual who is familiar with basic circuits. So much for the positive. Now the drawbacks of this product.First, there are no instructions with the product- the manufacturer includes only a QI code and a web link to information- plus the written/textual instructions on their web site are minimal, to say the least- a user in need of real instruction must suffer through a series of not-ready-for-Hollywood videos while, perhaps, taking class notes- ok for a social media junkie I guess, not great for busy people.Second, the product usability screams out for a makeover. Despite that there are two independent switches, there is only one paddle and no markings on the switch. One of the two switched circuits is responsive to toggling the paddle upward, the other - you guessed it- downward toggle. No place to mark which is which, that the switch operation is momentary, no color code, no user feedback apart from observing which one turns on/off. By contrast, most of the plain old mechanical 2 into one counterparts have 2 separate paddles or levers 1 over the other. Finally, be aware that the functionality is on/off only, no dimming. So this is not suitable for controlling aa pair of backyard or patio lights where an intensity adjustment/distribution is wanted.Summary- if want guests/others to use these, plan on getting out your label maker to put some graphics/use instructions on the faceplate. Yet, this is a scarce solution to putting two smart switches into a single gang electrical switch box.

It's okay.
This was clunky like the last one. The value is okay for the money. It connects okay but I had to go on Youtube to figure this out. The switch itself takes a little more effort because this switch is much like the other one I bought...stiff. It's sturdy and durable and functions great once totally installed.

Great Switch With Option For Two Lights - Easy Install - Night Light on Switch
Installed this switch for the stairs lights since it is 3 way (where two switches control one light). I wanted to set the stairs on a schedule so they would be on during the dark hours and off during daylight. The installation was straight forward because the instructions were good and the wires were labeled. Having correctly labeled wires makes all the difference. I like the fact that when the light switch is off, there is a white light that is easily seen in case you are fumbling to turn on the light in the dark. The Kasa lights that I also have do have littel night-lights, but they are so dim they are barely able to be seen. It took me about 15 minutes to install but I did have a voltmeter to test which wires in the box were hot. Once I enabled it, it was a simple task to get it connected to Alexa and set it on a schedule (on at sunset, off at sunrise). Even though this is a smart light, there is still a physical button you can click to turn the light on and off. This is nice for those people who want to turn on the light during the day for extra visibility (like gran gran). Overall, I give it five stars because it did everything I wanted and was easy to install.
