Sony XS-MP1611 6.5 Inch 280 Watt 4 Ohm Dual Cone Weatherproof Marine Audio Stereo Speakers with Polypropylene Woofer Cone, White, 2 Pairs

These speakers are an exact fit for the older 1610 model ( older version). The screw holes are 4 inches apart. The bolts that come with these are a “tad thicker” than the screws that came with my 1610s so I just reused the old screws since I didn’t want to take a chance and crack any fiberglass in my boat. Many 6.5 inch speakers have a 5 or 6 inch bolt spacing. Overall- Super easy to install and they sound awesome!

There are a lot of marine speakers out there, I feel these were a decent value for the money, good brand with known expected performance without breaking the bank.

Bought to replace existing speakers. Sound is good (boat speakers after all). Though the overall diameter fit the existing holes, the bolt circle diameter for the mounting screws was smaller than the original speakers. I had to shift the speaker in the hole to get enough bulklhead behind the screws and as a result, could only get three screws secured for each speaker. If you are buying these for replacements, check not only the overall OD but also the bolt circle diameter as well.I didn't care for the screws mounting through the covers. Nor do I really care for the clips that cover the screw heads.Would rather the speaker screwed to the the bulkhead and the covers snapped into place. But, this design works and in the end all worked out okay.

Have owned JBL marine speakers and have replaced them 3 times in 4 years of owning my boat. Sony speakers are more rugged and have held up well so far in the saltwater of SW FL.Sound quality is very good and matches up well with the Infinity head on the boat.

The sound quality is good but based on prior reviews I doubt they will last very long.The reason I bought them is because of the sound quality and they were a direct replacement for my old boat speakers that the cones had disintegrated on. I will post again about a year from know

These speakers are just okay. They definitely need to be paired with a subwoofer. I think the sound lacks.

These sound good but I already know they'll only last about 5 years at the beach.

Was replacing 8 year old speakers that were cracking in sound. These worked great and fit right in the spot of the previous model Sony speakers we had were in and they sound awesome!
