Absolutely brilliant. Kept my youngest (aged 11) enthralled for hours over the half term holidays giving us valuable together time away from devices. Fun, easy to follow instructions and completely safe to use. Magical things really are just veg oil, flour, bicarbonate of soda, citric acid etc but the mixed effects create volcanos, hissing potions, sunshine bubbles, glow in the dark potions and more. Was a birthday present but Ive already bought the Fairy version for the next half term as this one was such a big success. There are lots of items and the box can be used as a display case. Worth every penny.

good fun

Bought for my son, who'd recently discovered the wonders of Harry Potter. He loved it. We did a few together and then he was more than able to carry on independently (8yrs). I was really impressed with the range of effects from the different mixtures. It came with a good amount that meant he could make them more than once or some of his own creation.

I have to apologise in advance - I have been going through some serious health issues at the time of ordering this and I have no recollection of ever receiving this kit, which I have not picked up at the time. I might have just misplaced it.One thing I am sure of - in any situation, I would remember something that I really liked. This must have been one average set that did not work to the highest standard. Still a curious thing to have during school holidays, but nothing impressive.

The media could not be loaded. This potion kit has everything youngsters need to get started on their journey to be witches and wizards! There's even a hat they can make so they look a the part!In the box you'll get - a pack of corks, a black cauldron, a magic wand, a book of spells, a hat to make, 2 clear mixing bowls, one measuring cup, one glass bottle of potion, paper plates, packets of potions, sheet of bottle labels.1 box of magic and wonderment which includes - bottles of glitter and additives, box of iridescent fibres, a wide range of small plastic bottles for putting potions in, 3 bottles of colourant, a large bag of potion elements and a small bag of shaped potion elements.In the booklet you will find step-by-step guide to making potions and spells. Once you have made them you can store them in the little plastic bottles and put a Cork in the top and add a bespoke label.The spells are quite easy to follow the only thing I don't like is that every sentence is then repeated in several language languages, so it becomes a case of having to filter out all the unwanted sentences and focus on the ones that you need. The only problem is you might miss steps out.I'm sure this is something you will get used to once you have done one spell.This kit has been so well thought out, it includes so many interesting little bits, kids will love following the spell book and putting in their potions in the fancy bottles with the corks.As well as spells there is some interesting science projects that might get them interested in chemistry at a young age.Even the packaging looks interesting, and when you start to unpack the big box there is the smaller box inside full of bottles and portions - that looks really interesting I love the artwork that has been used.This will make an excellent Christmas present, I can guarantee you will be the person that gives the best gift!Just a little thing that I find misleading about the advertising of this product is - the picture on the front show some quite young children making potions, yet the product is for children eight and over.I definitely recommend this and I have given it five stars. It's great quality and you get a lot of your money.

We were frightened by the warnings on some of the ingredients, and no goggles are supplied. Though the potions are cute and effective.
