Nice Model, Difficult Kit
This model kit isn't suitable for beginners are there are too many small parts. Unlike more modern ships, the superstructure is built on slender columns. Unfortunately these parts are attached to the sprue at their mid points. As a result they require careful removal and trimming of excess plastic. There are some moulding defects but by and large they don't spoil the final result. The layout of certain parts on the sprues makes the preparation of some parts more difficult than they need to be.A nice interesting kit that requires some patience and a lot of time to assemble. Overall it is good value for money.

Enjoyed making it
Thought I would try a Russian kit for a change. Good quality but some parts need modification as the suppliers sprue are useless. But modifying is part of the fun of model making and gives satisfaction

DREADNOUGHT CLASS , RUSSIAN.
THIS IS THE CLASS OF BATTLESHIP WHICH SAT ON THE RIVER , IN THE HEART OF THE RUSSIAN CAPITAL AND FIRED ITS GUNS TO SIGNAL THE START OF THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION.HET DETAIL IS AMAZING. EVERYTHING THAT SHOULD BE THERE, IS THERE. SOME OF THE PARTS ARE QUITE SMALL BUT ACHIEVABLE WITH PATIENCE AND THAT NEED FOR THE EXACT.THE HULL IS AMAZING DETAIL AND WELL FORMED. THE OVERALL APPEARENCE OF THIS BATTLE CRUISER THE ZVEZDA. WHEN FINNISHED IS CLASSIC ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION OF SHIPS AT WAR. IT IS A SHAME THAT SO MANY NODEL MAKERS WHO PRODUCE SHIPS AND LINERS ARE SO OBSESSED WITH MAKING THEM SMALL.BUILD THEM BIGGER FOR GOODNESS SAKE, THEY WILL NOT BITE.

Nice kit but not one for beginners
Nice kit of a period cruiser. Combine it with the etch update kit and you can make a stunner, but it's not a kit I'd recommend for a beginner. Also, with apologies to an earlier review, the ship which fired the opening shots of the Russian revolution was the battleship Potemkin, not this ship.

An unusual subject
This is an unusual subject from the pre-Dreadnought era. You can build several options, including a very fine white one with green hill and yellow funnels. Fit of parts is excellent, and you will have a very eye-catching model to display.
