Ordered this as a present. Picutre on the item shows that the book has been updated to include "The Black Parade". The received book is the older edition with no update, different cover and is shorter as a result. I'm still gifting it but I'm also of the mind that this was missold.

Brought as new but can’t tell it’s been well handled but never the less good book for a super fan.

Great book

This book is amazing..it gives you an indepth insight to the bands life..and contains fact..not opinions from the author, which you normally get from books that are written about bands by people who know nothing about them. This book is different..almost an autobiography..written by someone who understands the band. I received this book before it was updated with 'The Black Parade', but it makes no difference to the quality of the information. The updated version only adds about 10 pages to the book and for the more dedicated fan, they would probably already know most of the new material, as I am sure I do..but it would not hurt to update the book, just for the sake of it. Overall, i am extremely pleased with my Christmas pressie, and have enjoyed ready about Gerard, Mikey, Frank, Ray & Bobs lives, I have found out many things that I didnt know and am all the more knowledgable for it. A good read for existing My Chemical Romance fan, or someone who has just started to enjoy their music. xx

as the title says i couldn't stop reading this book i was indulged in the book and couldn't put it down until i had finished it (which was 2 days) the author of this book is really good at getting to the facts and keeping you interested at the same time not like one of those biographys that are just like 'then he did...and then ...' thats just really mundain and annoying unlike this! it really gave me something to do for the weekend and i found out many facts including ones that i didn't actually particularly wanted to know but now do. this book says absolutly everything that comes to MCR from thier meeting to their projects outside the band! it really is a great read absorbing and one of the best biography i have ever read! a must read!!!!

This book was very informative and cleared up certain greyscale areas in my (ever-growing) knowledge about my current favourite band.I did find that a lot of the things which they mentioned as being "secret" or "never before heard" were old news, however, I can't hate it for that as the book has been out for a few years now.You can tell that it's unofficial, certain facts are wrong. However, the majority of them are specific and correct and the quotes which they have gleaned from old interivews with obscure websites I has never heard of, were very interesting and sometimes saddening.Overall this book was both an intersting and enlightening read, even if it's only an extra candle in my already near-to-full candelabra.

As a present for an MCR fan, this went down very well - I'm told it was easy to read, lots of funny and random facts. Didn't read it myself, but I'm not particularly a fan of MCR so how would I know how good it was? I noticed it had fairly big print - I thought they'd done that to make the book look bigger, but some good photos and it seemed to appeal to the 13 year old it was bought for.

You cannot go wrong with this book! Everything about Gerard and co. is here, I could never wish to read a better book - I'm simply gobsmacked at the immense dedication and passion that has gone into this biog. Most 'new' bands get a cut and paste thing with more photos than words. NOT THIS ONE> It is a heartfelt and truthful and very respectful account of the world's greatest band. Highly recommended!
