Ideal for olive tree - last one died although covered over winter, so hopefully this will be more effective. Well made and large, protection from frost and wind but lets water in so doesn't dry out

I'm really pleased with the set of three 180cm x 120cm fleece bags I ordered. I have a lot of tender shrubs and plants in my garden that either need, or would benefit from protection from frost, snow and cold temperatures. For example, they're perfect for protecting camellia flowers from frost so that they don't go brown and drop off the following spring. You can just pop the bags over the plant and then tie them at the bottom with the cord, so that you don't need to wrap the plant up for the whole of winter. I can use them as determined by the weather as they're quick to put on and take off again. If they've covered for longer periods, the condition of the plants inside can be inspected simply by opening the zip.The material is a heavy weight fleece. It's breathable, allowing air to circulate so the plants don't sweat and rot. Water can permeate through so they don't dry out, and daylight can get in so the plants can still photosynthesize. They're great for winter protection and can be used in summer too, to shade plants from scorching, or to keep pests such as sawfly off your fruit bushes. I think they're brilliant. They're really versatile and for me, a gardening essential. I will use these a lot from one year to the next.

Great for covering your trees in the coldest of months. The covers are quite thick so do a good job of keeping your trees frost free. I would recommend these covers as gardening/planting trees is expensive nowadays and very time consuming so good to protect saplings and other stuff planted. I would recommend this pack of 3 covers.

This is a good set of 3 tree jackets for small-to-medium-sized garden trees in order to give them a bit of added protection over winter. We have a row of three olive trees that are a little bit exposed so they benefit from the shielding.This particular set comes with zipper fastening with a drawstring tightener - which feels like a reasonable solution for the task at hand.They appear to be consistently sized and manufactured, and my set had no holes or missed stitching - so all good.The only thing you’ll need to consider is if the size is appropriate for your particular target trees, as mis-judging the size requirement could be detrimental to the protection provided.For a price of c. £22 (at time of review) that feels like decent value.

Good value for money

Everyone deserves to be cosy and warm and this includes my outdoor plants.I ordered these frost protection jackets as I have a few junior fruit trees which need protection over the winter months.These jackets are very large and fit my tree’s perfectly, I’m happy knowing they are protected as the temperature drops and the frosts come.The jackets allow my trees to continue to grow whilst being protected.Just what I and my trees needed.

They arrived vacuum packed tightly in a manageable size for transporting, when opened they are huge.Covered my two large Palms & a small olive tree ( both are susceptible to the winter frosts , last year I lost the other olive tree).Hopefully with a bit of forward thinking this year these large garden fleece bag are going to keep my plants alive.They are made of good thick materials and strong ties at the base to prevent the fleeces flying away in the wind ( previous experience ). These are stronger & tight tighter, looking good.......
