Installed on Intex 18x52 Ultra Frame
I wanted to write this review for anyone struggling to know if or how to install this on an intex pool that doesnt have the female 1.5" return.I wasnt able to figure out how to get it to work with the stock intex return jet (from what i read they dont use the industry standard)my pool had the plunger valve attachment with the nut that isn't the standard for most other brands. it looks like this (https://www.amazon.com/Intex-Large-Plunger-Valve-Assembly/dp/B000SPOZ5I/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=intex+plunger+gasket&qid=1562008974&s=gateway&sr=8-3)What i had to do was buy a standard inlet jet and install that instead of the intex one i had. i purchased this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015X3MTB6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)I believe most brands are same or similar but thats the one i got and it worked. As you can see from that inlet jet the outer connection is not compatible with the intex plunger valve.I then purchased this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TYBCEG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and installed that on the outer side of the Inlet jet and was able to connect the intex plunger valve to it with no problems.I read on alot of these styles of waterfall fountains that people continued to ask how to install on an intex and nobody would answer them so i hope this helps anyone willing to get the extra parts and do the extra install.about this item specifically It works great and the quality is better than expected. Currently loving it!

UPDATE to My pool really is cool
This product lasted four seasons in the brutal texas sun. I'm back to order another set. Worth the investment to have the pool be more enjoyable. I'm a little shocked at the price hike though. Pretty sure I paid under $40 the first time. This absolutely works to drop pool temperature. I have a 16000 gallon technically in-ground pool but because of slope, one side is above grade by a good 6 feet, it is in direct sun and I live in Texas. For the first two years, by midsummer, the pool was a bathtub, running around 96F every day. I added two of these to the returns and it sprays during the filter cycle. The pool is now really pleasant and has not gone above 88F despite this being our hottest summer on record.Downside is that there is more evaporation so I fill the pool a little every two weeks. And that is NOT the reason for the temp change, the pool feels great even before I add some water. These are also not beautiful as they are simple PVC sitting above the water. But the spray is strong and the sound from the spray is nice. They are easy to either pivot to being under water or remove during winter when the pool is closed.

Works great on cooling the pool down!
This is awesome! It drops our pool temperature down anywhere from 5 to 7 degrees. The sprinkler goes up at night and down in the morning every night during the summer to keep the water a cool temperature. Just that simple!

Brings pH up without affecting alkalinity!
We've been fighting an alkalinity issue since installing our pool and filling it with our well water. Had we realized areas with a lot of limestone have wells with high alkalinity. That high alkalinity will destroy our pool equipment, so we needed to get that under control. Fighting it for a year now, with the yo-yo effect of pH up and pH down, or muriatic acid and baking soda, I finally stumbled across the method used by professional pool operators. That is, to get the alkalinity in line using muriatic acid, then bring the pH up using aeration. We have a 27-ft above ground pool, so the pictures you see in this review are the result of a pretty strong pump. I like the way we can move it any way we want, aiming the water anywhere from 3 to 4 ft out, all the way to the other side of the pool. Using the muriatic acid and aeration, over the course of several days, we were able to get our pool chemistry where it needed to be. If you have this problem, just know that you're going to run your pump 12 hours a day to resolve the issue. But that bump in the electric bill is going to be nothing compared to having to replace your equipment.UPDATE: for best results in outgassing the pool to raise the pH without raising the alkalinity, aiming this towards the pool does the best job. Just know however, that the first time I tried this it was so strong it blew the thing apart and I had to pick a piece up off the bottom of the pool. However, if it's tightened well, this works really well! Our pH and alkalinity are perfect now! --- One thing to note, however, is that the sprayer had can get clogged with spiders, little pieces of debris that sneak through the filter, etc. So if you see it spring a little odd, remove the head blow it out, and put it back on.

a bit disappointed
Item appears to be a good value for the money however not sure why there is a ball joint which constantly keeps flipping over under water. It is very floppy. If you have pool blow up animals they constantly knock the fountain over as the ball joint is very loose. It seems it needs a washer there. I spent half the summer adjusting the fountain which kept falling under water. Very distressing during parties to be laying on my stomach to adjust the fountain repetitively. When it works it is nice. Also to adjust stream with the adjustable opening under water was super difficult. The joints would get super tight and was very hard to open. I had to remove the whole thing each time and even using a rubber grip it was difficult to adjust.

Good so far!! I am surprised!!
The media could not be loaded. Surprisingly good!! Day one and all is good. Easy install and great effect. Didn’t effect pump pressure and water still circulating well
