A must have for every pool
Ok, this thing really, really works well. I was skeptical at first and intially had my reservations about this product. Remove from box, attached the net, hook up to a hose and a pool pole and you are good to go. From the time I turned on the hose to the time I shut it off, it took about 15 minutes. This thing guzzled up all the leaves at the bottom of the pool. Meanwhile, the mechanical pool sweeper keeps getting stuck on edges, etc. Buy this product and you will be amazed at how fast and efficient it is at ridding your pool of leaves.

Works great... even better than I expected!
This was an impulse purchase... I was online looking for other pool parts and ran into this by accident. After reading the rave reviews, I knew I had to give it a shot. I am SO glad that I did! We have a large in-ground pool for our condominium community, and we manually vacuum it daily. That is so labor intensive and time-consuming, particularly when there are just a few leaves and bugs at the bottom of the pool. In addition, using the vacuum always means replacing water in the pool, and we add water almost daily anyway.Using this vacuum head couldn't be simpler... by attaching and using water pressure to vacuum, we're adding water while we clean and saving a great deal of time as well. You have to move the head about slowly, but it works far better than I expected. Like other reviewers, I've placed a tennis ball in the bag to help keep it vertical. I can't say anything more that hasn't already been said... just that I do recommend this to anyone looking for an easy to use, quick solution to vacuuming larger items from the bottom of the pool.

Not the easiest tool to use, but still worth every penny
We bought a house with a pool...and trees...lots and lots of trees. We have pecans, oaks, maples, and more. Our pool has been a losing battle every fall. Sometimes our lines get clogged. Sometimes our skimmers get clogged. Sometime we just say "forget it" and let it go until spring. I decided to try the leaf vacuum after my husband informed me that he needed the pool clean on January 1st for a polar plunge party. Oh boy! I got the vacuum, hooked it up with the hose and went to town.Cons: 1) a cold garden hose is not very maliable and makes it hard to maneuver the vacuum, 2) the bags do not attach well, I had to tie the string in a knot to get it to stay attached, 3) the vacuum wanted to float so required a significant amount of effort to keep it on the floor of the pool.Pros: it got the job done. The attached photo was after the inaugural 5 minutes of vacuuming. While the vacuum can be cumbersome, it is effective. That makes it well worth the money for me!

Worthless
The media could not be loaded. BLUF: This vacuum suffers from poor design, shoddy workmanship, and insufficient QA. Having received two defective items I would not recommend buying it.I'm highly disappointed with the quality of this "premier" product right out of the box. I've included a video to show the poor workmanship which shows that there is significantly more water flowing downward from the leaks than through the jets into the leaf bag. The first thing I noticed when taking the vacuum out of its box was where glue had leaked from the part that contains the jets. It went downhill from there. This thing is far better at agitating debris than it is at collecting it. I had better luck using this as a leaf rake than a vacuum. There's nothing even close to a vacuum action going on. I expect far better from a company that claims "since 1958, Poolmaster, a leading manufacturer of aftermarket pool and spa products, has had an unwavering commitment to quality, service and reliability". I'm giving Poolmaster one more shot before I write the company off for good, but I'm less than optimistic.Edit 5/22/2014:I received a 2nd unit after returning the first as defective and the it also suffers from leaks around the water jet housing. The 2nd unit worked a little better than the first in that it was able to pick up some large leaves, but it's nowhere near effective enough to clean a pool. I had the best luck by pumping the base to force debris off the pool floor and hopefully high enough to reach the jets. After 20 minutes of frustration I gave up and I'll be returning this one as well. Even the quickest of tests at the manufacturer in China would have exposed the flaw in both units. Granted, the way the joints are glued leaves little recourse for repair. The instructions claim that the quick disconnect for the hose also serves as a flow reducer. Even if my 2nd unit didn't leak it doesn't seem like there would be enough suction with that in-line reducer to create sufficient suction. That's pure speculation given that I haven't tested with a working product.

It's a typical leaf eater, however......
Not bad but need to glue the top ring onto the cleaner otherwise it comes right off (bag does too) and dumps the debris you've collected. Compared to other brands this ring just does fit tight enough and needs to be glued. Also the water feed hook up has a very small diameter so pressure is not near what it could be to clean especially when using on a pressure side cleaner line with a booster pump. I'd pass on this unless you just have to have one right away.

Albercas pequeñas
Funciona para albercas pequeñas. Sólo recoge hojas grandes. Polvo no.

Works like a charm
I am so pleased with this pool vacuum. I have tried 5 other vacuum systems ranging in price from $30 to $300, and this is the only one that works. And it works well! Is such a nice larger size that it easily picks up leaves and all other debris that drops to the bottom of the pool. No set up required; just plug in garden hose, put netting on (I used a large elastic in addition to the draw cord), and that's it. Would recommend to anybody.

Not very efficient for a big pool
It works ok but it takes very long time to clean the leaves. If you have a small pool it could be fine. But our pool is 22meters by 8 meters and you will spend hours to do it. Better to have a robot.

Useful addition to pool maintenance
For the money, this is a good addition to pool maintenance. Seems well made and is easy to use.I have a 7m by 3m pool with a few nearby trees. During Autumn it’s usually got a fair amount of leave litter sat at the bottom of the pool. I bought this so I could remove the majority of that before dropping in the creepy crawly. It works well but a few things to note - it is not a powerful vacuum, it works at a slow pace (you have to go at the pace of a creepy crawley pool cleaner) and catches about 80% of the leaf litter. It doesn’t catch twigs. The bag is just big enough but it takes a bit of technique to avoid it tangling on the pool pole while moving it under water. So with some practice, this is actually pretty useful. One thing to note - if you try to change the bag while the hose is running you’ll get a face full of water . . . .

Make sure to get the right size pole!
It’s a good pool vacuum but it needs to be a little heavier as it floats pretty bad.
