Fun for all ages
I love the simple little books. A little back story: I am 48, and speak 4 languages. I wanted to learn Hebrew, and even though I was starting from zero in terms of reading and knowing the alphabet, I figured with my knowledge of other languages that I would have no problem. I bought the Rosetta Stone for Hebrew and started out gung ho, but because the alphabet is different I found that I was struggling to differentiate the sounds, and the software didn't offer a cheat sheet. It became such a stumbling block that I just stopped using the program. Frustrated that I was not realizing my goal, I decided to back up, start at an even more elementary level, and bought both books. "Time to Read Hebrew" is for kids, and that is its target audience. But after a few hours doing the exercises (I skipped the coloring exercises), I knew all my letters, vowels, basic expressions and rudimentary vocabulary. Completing these books was the perfect launchpad to "graduate" to Rosetta Stone and get back to a more sophisticated approach to language study. I feel much more confident now and things "click." I recommend these for any one at any age who is truly starting Hebrew from scratch.

great book!
I recommend this book for an older child (8-9), or for a younger child that already pretty much knows the alef bet. I did another more basic workbook with my 5 year old first, and he is now very happily working his way through this one. It would be very hard for him if he was learning the letters for the first time, but as is it is wonderful for reinforcing letter knowledge, and teaches some vocab along the way in small, manageable doses! Also, unlike some other books this one can be used in a household where mom and dad don't really know Hebrew -- in the beginning of each lesson the sound of each letter is highlighted in purple in the english transliteration of the letter's name.

I was told that the instructions were clear and easy to follow and it helped those recipients to learn ...
This, along with several others, were given as gifts as part of our prison ministry. I understand from the recipients that this gift was well-received. I was told that the instructions were clear and easy to follow and it helped those recipients to learn quickly. I am pleased by this.

these books are fun. The contents are very simple
I started to teach myself Hebrew 2 months ago and apart from the books I use to learn from, I also decided to give these books a try. I bought all 3.Well, these books are fun. The contents are very simple. Maybe a little too simple for my liking. But overall, I like them for the sake of killing time.

A phenomenal teaching program
Best way to teach Ivrit/Hebrew. I have been using this program for some years now and it is amazing! There is a new activity book which has been added to this and I suggest you get that too!
