Awesome cube, best out there
I've been playing with cubes for a few years now, and at first I was buying the original Rubik's brand ones, but the stickers come off so quickly, and the cubes themselves don't move smoothly, even with some silicon-based lube stuff. They're ok but not great, and then I discovered the Shengshou brand and oh man I'm sold, I've now replaced all my 5 cubes with Shengshou ones and I'm super happy. They're nice and small and compact so you can take them with you if you have a long train ride or even a camping trip. They twist really smoothly and overall just feel really nice. The quality really is higher than other cubes on the market, so I'm super pleased, I'll probably only buy this brand in the future. I don't always leave reviews this good but they're just a real pleasure to play with.

Smooth as glass, much better than Rubik brand
Purchased ShengShou 4x4 and 3x3 puzzles for my son who is a burgeoning cubist, so to speak. Requested the ShengShou brand name after reading about speed cubers and already having Rubik 2x2 and 3x3 for a few months. Fast delivery and packaged well. Product comes in a small box with English/Chinese solving steps for the 3x3 cube and Chinese only for the 4x4.Pros: smooth as glass, easy to spin on all axis, appears to be a quality product - equal to or better than Rubik's cube manufacturing standards.Cons: squares are a little 'sloppy' in their movement, giving a feel of looseness, possibly resulting in a 'popped' edge if too much force is used. With normal use, however, this issue should not be a problem and is likely a tradeoff due to near frictionless movement.Overall: Highly Recommended. Would buy again.C

Clear Plastic Square Covers Peel Off, otherwise good
There are clear plastic squares that cover each of the colored squares on this cube. The cube works great overall but these clear plastic squares peel off at seemingly random times and I've been finding them all around my house.

This cube.... Having solved 2x2's before, 3x3's before and a 5x5 before, this thing was way different. I started the solve as I would a 5x5 thinking that it would be the same. Got all my centers solved and then started pairing edges. Got all my edges solved and started to work on solving like a 3x3. Once I got to OLL I was so confused, and it took me forever to find a solution for my parity. Man, this thing was a challenge compared to even the 5x5 for me. I sat here baffled while I searched online for what seemed like an eternity. Eventually I found the algorithm I needed and indeed it did work. I finish my OLL and start my PLL, and guess what? Another parity. This time the double edge parity... Overall I like the challenge, but I think it will be a while before I enter any competitions with this. The cube turns great, feels great, but has a bit of excess lube on the outside. It comes with instructions to solve, but if you're like me you cannot read chinese. Good thing they came with pictures. I would say once I have the parity algorithms memorized (I think there's only like 2 of them) this should be fairly easy to solve. Overall this is a great cube. Doesn't lock up, turns smooth, isn't super loud, and pieces don't pop, and are actually quite hard to pull out. I would recommend this cube to anyone that would like a challenge. Oh, I also had to remember that red-orange are opposites. Had them backwards during the solve, DERP.

For old times sake.
I bought this because of nostalgia because I wasn't good at these when I was younger. 😂😂😂. The reason I have it a 3 was only because the ones of old were bigger, sturdier, and more solid. This one isn't made so sturdy and the individual blocks are small, but again the purchase was only for nostalgia. A kid would probably love it, but it may not stand up to the wear & tear.

Great feel
This 4x4x4 puzzle is very fun and a great addition to your puzzle collection if you have mastered the 3x3x3 cube. A few new concepts presented themselves such as solving and determining centers, paring edges, and fixing parity. After practice with using intuition and new algorithms this cube is simple to solve and very satisfying I might add. The cube is excellent quality and has never popped for me. I have dropped this monster from 6 feet and it is perfectly fine. The stickers are what I like most about this puzzle, they are textured rather than the classic shiny kind and they feel very nice to the touch. Overall, if you are very confident with your 3x3x3 puzzle solving skills and are looking for a new challenge, this puzzle is for you.
