The vest works very well and stays wet for much longer than any product I’ve used. Please know that although there is a hole to put the leash through, there is no actual ring on the vest itself. That was the only drawback.

I take my Doberman to class and its in the desert so it gets warm always water and big tubs available, but this allowed him to stay cooler, keep focused on our work and he was happier! I rewet it about 40 minutes in and he was just great! When i took it off 2 hrs later his fur was cool and he was not panting! Easy to get on and off. I recommend this cooling vest..

A wet vest becomes a muddy disaster real quick if your dog likes to roll on the ground like mine… seems to keep him cooler, but the benefits don’t outweigh the hassle and mess in my opinion. Would rather just modify his time in the heat/ change up his activities to account for the weather

We purchased both this item as well as the swamp cooler.We found that the Canada pooch retained moisture better, had a significantly better fit, and was more lightweight, making it more portable for hiking purposes.HOWEVER the swamp cooler was instantly cooling when water was added and we found that the cooling effect was effectively trapped underneath even as parts of it began to dry. Rather then just a wet piece of fabric, this one seemed to actually provide a cooling effect underneath the vest.

This coat or cooling vest keeps our dog cool in the sun and heat. Easy to keep clean. Fits well. Is attractive on the dog. It exactly as advertised. We keep a small spray bottle handy to "top up" the cooling if we are out and about for a while, such as on the beach.

Haven't used it yet but it fit and my frenchie doesn't seem to be uncomfortable in it.

Leg strap broke first time out with this cooling vest. The thing does what it's supposed to do - hold water - but I'm unsure of the efficacy. My dog seems SOMEWHAT cooler with this on but he hates wearing it and he still overheats really quickly. This thing gives him maybe an extra 5 minutes of cooler than panting to death. For the money, it ain't worth it.

I had to return the vest. My Bulldog should of fit a size 18 but its way way too small. Your better off going in store that sells them and test fit with your dog. The size measurements are totally wrong.Big let down as canada pooch products are normally good.
