Connected my work laptop to an external monitor without issue
I got a new work laptop recently which also required me to get a new docking station. The docking station only had 1 DP port and 1 HDMI port so I needed a cable to convert from DP to HDMI so I could use my other monitor. This cable was plug and play. It has a usb-c port on the side. I'm not sure what that is for and there's almost no information at all on the packaging.

Was just what I needed for my Y70 to run on iGPU
I’ve been using this HDMI to DisplayPort adapter for a while now, and it’s been a game-changer for my setup. The ability to connect my HDMI devices to my DisplayPort monitor without sacrificing any video quality has been incredibly convenient. The USB-C power delivery feature is a nice touch, ensuring that the adapter has enough juice to handle high-resolution content without any lag or flickering. The build quality is excellent, and the adapter feels sturdy and durable. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable way to expand their display options.

Works well even with display link adapter
Works well even with a display link adapter. it does come with a power cable because it requires external power. if you have a monitor with a free USB port that will be enough.

pricey but works
This pricey but well made cable adapter is sturdy and should be very durable. It allows connection from my laptop to my display port monitor but requires USB power. It does come with the USB C cable for this purpose. Graphics are clear with no distortion. I am pleased with this product and recommend it.

Dp hdmi
This is what is advertised and it works as it should. It's a simple displayport to HDMI adapter. I got this for an older computer that has a HDMI port rather than displayport ports, but I have dp cables for the monitor.

Very useful adapter - works with my KVM - for an uncommon cable conversion
HDMI and DisplayPort are two cable standards for video that do functionally more or less exactly the same thing, but have different form factors and levels of support. Most computers, including laptops, include at least one HDMI-out port for connecting to external monitors/TVs, which most dedicated video cards in desktop computers typically have more DisplayPort connections than HDMI. That makes things tricky if you use a KVM and laptop dock to connect both a laptop and desktop to the same set of monitors like I do. Whereas Displayport-to-HDMI cables are common and relatively fuss-free, the opposite direction of HDMI-to-DisplayPort is a lot more difficult to get right and have it work with docks and KVMs, and often require active adapters that have to be powered.Fortunately, Answin seems to have managed to do exactly that with this adapter cable. This is a good quality short adapter cable that will pass an HDMI signal through to DisplayPort and plays nicely even with my KVM. It had no trouble passing my 144hz 1080p monitor signal through at all, and in that case didn't even actually need external power (note that this was via a nVidia GTX 1060 GPU, not onboard video, so this may not work for all setups).Cable quality is good - well-made end connectors, joined by a thick (honestly, slightly too thick) braided cable in between. Power for active signal support, if needed, is delivered by a USB-C port on the HDMI end and can be supplied with an included USB A-to-C short cable.Overall, it's quite expensive at $40 CAD at time of review but the value is good as its quite rare to find this type of adapter cable capable of working properly with a KVM.

Works well, as advertised.
This Answin HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter, (4K@60Hz HDMI Source to DisplayPort Monitor Uni-Directional) is listed as being compatible with PC Graphics Cards, Laptops, Xbox One/360/NS, PS5, Mac Mini and Supports 2K@144Hz & 1080P@165Hz. It is currently $39.99.This is a well made adapter and comes with a power cable (USB-A - USB-C). It has metallic ends and a short braided cable. The ends are solid and connect well.I'm currently using this on a nVidia card under Windows 10. It has a clean output and changes resolutions quickly.I have tested it at 2560×1440 and it does refresh rates up to the advertised 144Hz, at 1080P it goes up to my monitor's maximum of 165Hz. I can not test 4K (it's not shown as supporting 4K anyhow). It also properly reports the model and display capabilities of the attached monitor.Note: It also works at all the other refresh rates in my photos. On my set up the power cable is optional as it runs perfectly well without it.I have no reason to believe that it won't work with the other systems advertised and should be good with just about anything with an HDMI output.I will update this if I have any issues.I am very pleased with this adapter cable and can recommend it as a 5 star item.

Solid build and easy setup
This HDMI to DisplayPort cable appears well-built and sturdy, showcasing solid construction. The plug-and-play operation made setup effortless. If needed, the HDMI jack includes a USB-C port for power. However, I didn't have to connect the power—everything worked perfectly without it.The HDMI and DisplayPort connectors have a metal casing, which helps with heat dissipation, ensuring long-term stability and durability. Overall, it is a reliable and efficient solution for converting HDMI output to a device with a DisplayPort input. It is highly recommended for those looking for a straightforward and effective cable conversion.

Perfect for connecting HDMI devices to DisplayPort Monitors
The Answin HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter is great for connecting my devices. I needed a way to connect my HDMI-only laptop to a DisplayPort monitor, and this adapter did the job perfectly. It was super easy to use as I just plug it in and it’s good to go. I didn’t need to mess around with any software or drivers, and the picture quality was clear even at 4k resolution. However, keep in mind that it’s uni-directional, and only works from an HDMI source to a DisplayPort monitor, not the other way around.Overall, it's been a great solution for connecting different devices, and the included USB power cable ensures everything runs smoothly without any lag.
