Fit into Kitchen Aid socket is rather loose. I would run at low speed.
It's very convenient to have a juicer that plugs right into the Kitchen Aid. That's a bigger torquier motor than I've seen in standalone juicers anywhere near this price. I think it could be improved further. The fit into the socket in the front of the mixer is rather loose. The square male end of the juicer is quite a bit smaller than the square female socket in the mixer. Before tightening down the screw on the side of the mixer, I can rotate it back and forth maybe 15 degrees, and no doubt the fit is also sloppy as to angle. Then when I tighten it, it's probably not quite straight in the socket.Running the mixer on speed 1 causes a little bit of snicking as it turns. The snicking gets quite a bit louder on speed 2. The instructions of the juicer recommend speed 2, but I would suggest using 1. I would not go above 2. But after all isn't a slow masticating juicer the best? Also, the pulp screen seems to be three bars of plastic molded as a part of the clear plastic exterior of the juicer. It's pretty coarse, and I wonder if those thing plastic bars might break if a hard piece of stem or seed gets wedged in there and pushed. If they break, no easy repair would be possible. These concerns mean I would use the attachment somewhat delicately, because I will not risk damaging the mixer, but this negates the fact of the power of the mixer's motor. Also the instructions say none of the parts are machine washable, and I don't know why that would be, but I think it's unfortunate. Attention to these details, especially the fit of the attachment into the mixer, would enable the product to be improved further.

Not the best out there, but good enough for us
I appreciate it's simple operation. Right off the bat, I attempted to juice some freshly harvested pomegranate arils from our garden. It didn't turn in a stellar performance, but it did the job sufficiently for a mixer attachment. The juice was cloudy from the pulverized seed particulate, but the juice was purer than the filtered, watered-down version I'd been producing with our high speed blender. Additional filtering is necessary, but I'm pleased with the result. This masticating juicer will ease the process of making grenadine and cherry syrup.Breakdown for cleaning isn't really complicated. However, my arthritic hands had some trouble twisting off the cap at the end. A texturized, knobby gripping surface would've been surely appreciated. We're glad to have this masticating juicer attachment in our collection of KitchenAid mixer implements for pomegranate and cherry season.

Saves Having to Buy Another Appliance
My husband had been hinting around that he’d like to have fresh juice with breakfast. When I saw him looking at some juicer machines I realized he was serious; but I just didn’t want another appliance on my countertop. When I saw this KitchenAid Juicer attachment I thought it would be perfect! My KitchenAid already has a permanent spot in the kitchen, so a juicer wouldn’t be taking up more space. This device works well for what he wanted and is easy to use. He now has fresh juice whenever he wants and I didn’t have to rearrange my kitchen to accommodate another appliance. Win, win, all around. Decent price, too!

This is a nice addition to my KA Mixer
I use this on weekends for the big breakfast. Fresh made juice is so much tastier than store bought. I love this very much and would. You have to practice on what speed to use for different fruits and vegetables but seems well built and decent quality. Best think is it is dishwasher safe.

Works but I don't know how long it'd gonna work... feels kinda cheap
This juicer works fine but it's light duty. If you're a die-hard juicer then you may want to invest in a proper, dedicated masticating juicer. That said, we only use it occasionally and it's holding up fine so far. I feel like it doesn't actually get all the juice out.. again, see my "proper ..juicer" comment, but it does okay for us.This design is surprisingly easy to clean; I was a little worries it would be a schmitt show but it turns out that it cleans up with little fuss.We use it on a KitchenAid Pro 600 and it has no problems with carrots and par-cooked beets. I have not tried grass in it (I'll leave that to our cow :-).For the price, I recommend it.
