A fun toy! Sure to provide a smile or a few laughs come bath time! I imagine it may even be fun in a hot tub, where the occupants could even play a game with the rings being thrown onto the octopi’s arms as the challenge.The toy is supplied without any batteries, so you'll need a set of 3x AAA to get started. Simply remove the cover with a Philips head/star screwdriver, (none is supplied), install the batteries, and replace the cover carefully to ensure a good seal.As with any type of water pump device, it needs water in the impellers to actually pump the water or it will just be moving air, so don't panic if it doesn't work straight away, just give it a good dunking in the water and it should pick up enough water to start the flow process.The downside with this toy is the use of AAA batteries and the need for removing a cover and replacing them, I would have liked it more if it were a rechargeable unit with a base perhaps, but still as it is, it’s very good, so long as you have spare AAA to hand. The listing states, “the water spray and light function will consume a lot of power, please make sure that use brand new batteries.”, so time will tell how often the batteries need replacing!Overall, I think this is a nice device at a fair price point, but be careful dropping it, I don't think the plastic would survive a fall on a hard surface from a significant height.

Nach dem ersten Tausch der Batterien funktioniert das Spielzeug nicht mehr richtig weil man die Gummidichtung nicht mehr dicht einlegen kann. Es kommt immer Wasser ins Batteriefach!

My kids love it. Made their bath time more fun.

My 3 and 5 year old grandkids LOVE this. It sits in the bath and sucks water up and squirts it out. It didn't come with the 3xAAA battery it needs but I always have some at home. It lights up, squirts water and you have to throw the rings supplied on the legs. Great fun at bath time which does interupt actually getting washed. :-) The batteries don't seem to last very long, 3 baths I think we've done. But at £9.99 we think it's decent value for money.
