Catch the Crook!
Like solving a mystery? I do! That's the main reason I wanted this game. I love solving mysteries. There's about 20 unsolved mysteries to figure out. Best ages would be 8 to 16. although adults would enjoy this too. Looks like it's like Clue just doesn't have a board to play on. When I'm ready to play then I'll take off the plastic that's around this game. From what I've heard play time is about 10-20 minutes, the more players that play the longer the game. Catch the crook, don't let him/her get away!

Fun!
We received this today and three of us - mom, son and daughter - played it right away this weekend. The eleven and nine year olds apparently took no time in figuring out the rules. I took the longest time - haha! Jokes aside, one does have to go through the rules of the game once and then it's easy. I guess, we are a board games family - we've played, several times over, almost every well known board game out there. It was quite fun for us to try out this Skillmatics game. Full five stars.

Great detective game!
This game was so much fun! It gives off clue vibes, but eliminates rolling a dice to move spaces to ask questions. It also adds in Guess Who vibes which is really cool. My wife and I played this with our 7 and 9-year old daughters and they were able to grasp the game. It comes with 16 different cases, so adds variety.

Missing card
I had initially given this game a positive review with a first play through, but I had erroneously played without noticing that one of the suspect cards was missing. Without the missing card, I don't believe playing the other 19 rounds will be possible.

Clue meets Guess Who?—Fun, but limited replayability
This is a fun deduction game that involves uncovering clues, then eliminating suspects based on their profiles (profession, hobbies, personality traits, hair color, and background image) by unlocking (collecting) the shared profiles or asking other players to reveal aspects of their suspect cards. I knew this game had a set number of cases, but the bigger issue is that the cases are dependent on the profiles being a bit of a mystery, so if some players have a great memory, then there is less to solve, even with new cases. For our family this will be something we play infrequently, and hopefully will forget some things before we pull it out again.

Rules could have been clearer, but we figured it out.
This is a fun game, but the age of 10 is correct. Usually, we can make games easier for our younger kids, but this one required more critical thinking and a larger vocabulary than most kids 9 and under have. We had to help our 11 year old with some of the terminology used. It did not hold our younger kids' attention. The rules could have been clearer. First, you pick a case from the case file. No where does it tell you what the case file is. It is basically, pick a number 1-20. In the back of the instruction booklet there are 20 different scenarios. Set the game up according to the instructions, read the scenario you chose, and that's all the info you have to start. You go around taking turns trying to figure out info to find the culprit. Clue cards help you with this. I suggest rolling the dice and choosing clue cards as your first turn if you have that option. Once you have some information from the clue cards, you can start choosing suspects and asking questions to other players that help narrow down your search.First one to get enough information and declare the culprit correctly is the winner. You only get one shot at a final guess because you cannot unsee the answer. To figure out if you've guessed correctly, open the confidential file, find the correct number and the name of the culprit will be listed. The case closed list could have been improved. All the case numbers and culprits associated with them are listed without any attempt to conceal them. We placed sticky notes over each case and wrote the case number on it so when you go to see who did it you don't have to see all the other cases' answers. Some people have really good memories, and seeing the whole list takes the fun out of the game. This is a great thinking, detective game. Our family has loved it so far. The number of cases makes replayability high. The door is left open for future expansions as well.

Seems like a good game
This game is really nicely put together. The box, cards, and pieces are made of thick cardboard or plastic so it's not one of those cheap flimsy games. The instructions are written in good English, the illustrations are nice, and overall I really look forward to playing this.

Can't wait to play this!
I'm a crime junkie and this game speaks to me! I can't wait to play it with family and friends. You can play up to five people and it's appropriate for the kids. Plus all the pieces come in a cute box.
