Under NY Sky Woodwork Apron - 12 pockets & loops, Waxed Canvas, Cross-Back, Leather Reinforcement - Carpenter, Mechanic, Workshop, Tool Aprons (Woodwork Green)

I wanted to wait a while before I reviewed this, so I could really speak to whether it worked or not, rather than just being excited to have a new package in my mailbox and it looking cool. I like the toughness of the material and the general design, including the strap length and routing. This is the kind of quality I've only seen previously done well by companies like Filson's. It fits and stays out if the way while protecting me from oil and grease. The number and variety of pockets really work well for wrenches as well as small tools that might normally get laid down and lost (recently used socket, I'm looking at you). My one concern might be the durability of the straps, but that hasn't been a problem yet and honestly who knows if it will. If somehow this came up missing I'd have no problem picking up another one to replace it.

My son is a chef and LOVES these aprons. The X back straps prevent neck and shoulder pull. The coated canvas protects clothing as well as helps when standing in front of the grill or when he is on the sauté line. The pockets are spacious and plentiful. They clean up well. He requests these as gifts from family and now has them in a variety of colors.

I was looking for an apron to wear in my workshop where I do a lot of grinding and metal fabrication. I had a Mechanix Wear one that I wore out. It was also a little too short. The NY Sky apron I received is a heavy-duty canvas. The stitching is good and the seam ends are well finished. I don't use all the pockets, but there are a lot and they are well placed. The description says "split-leg". I don't know what that means because the apron has a solid front that extends down to just past my knees (I'm 6 feet tall)- perfect length for me. I would prefer a leg split, but it is functioning fine so far. My one disappointment is the straps, and it is my fault. My apron came with straps that crossed in the back and wrapped around to the front. Not a good set-up for the shop. But the apron packaging described several different strap options that can be had! Good job NY Sky! I sewed the straps from my old apron onto the new one and I have been using it for about a week now with no issues.

I use this exclusively for my woodworking and shopwork. It’s very well constructed, comfortable, and I find it to be extremely useful in keeping track of my layout tools, (in the many pockets) and protecting my clothing from pesky sawdust.(primarily waste bound from tablesaw and circular saw.) Honestly, had it in “saved for later” in my amazon cart and wish I had bought it when I first found this apron months ago. Also, aesthetically, it is a damn good looking piece of protective clothing.

I just received my Apron and I am completely impressed with the sturdiness high quality and attention to detail. I have not had a chance to use it yet but I am 100% sure that it is going to fill my needs around the shop. I have another apron that I’ v been wearing and I attempted to purchase another of the same but it’s been discontinued. This apron that just arrived today I can tell you is just on another level, I highly recommend this apron. I have no doubt I will be using this for years!

Great apron! Just what I needed. I wish it came in a smaller size as I am very short, but gets the job done and I love all the pockets. Kinda stiff even after washing but I am sure that will come around after a few more..

Strong sturdy fabric, comfy straps, well thought out design. I'm a hairdresser and this apron keeps everything off of my clothes, while looking sharp and professional, is not chemical resistant, so haircolor, bleach, oil etc will leave spots but that adds to the individuality. Is a bit awkward to get used to putting on though.

Awesome product. Material is thick and definitely made for durability. Love the cross clip behind that helps against neck strain. Item was delivered fast! Super happy with it. Best art smock I’ve ever invested in

I'm a small guy, so I was worried that this would be over sized, but it fits pretty well. We'll see how well it keeps in the wood shop!

What a great product! It fits really nicely once adjusted. The material feels really sturdy and the stitching is robust. The pockets are roomy despite the fabrics being stiff. Really handsomely designed. Functional but not totally utilitarian, the brass and leather details make it feel more expensive than it was. Putting it on instantly makes me feel motivated to create. Great job “under NY sky”!

My phone fell out when I used the top pocket so now I just keep it in my pants, it would be nice if they made a fleece jacket similar that had open pockets like these, not just only two pockets that are open from the sides. It would be an more expensive option but it would go on as fast as and coat and look a like a normal coat with better pockets for tools.
