16. Actual pot width is just under 2.5 inches.

Q: What type of plastic? Is there a recycling number embossed on them?

They are from China. There is no recycling number. The pack of 150 will last my lifetime. I use them for propagation and then transplant to permanent pots.

Q: What type of plastic? What is the recycle number? Are they made of virgin or recycled plastic? Do they fit evenly in 1020 trays with domes?

I can't answer on the type of plastic, and they do not list a recycle number so not sure there either. They are a tougher plastic though so you should be able to reuse them for a number of years before they would wear out and need to be tossed. They do fit into the 1020 trays well, you can fit 8 rows of 4 in the trays. I assume that the domes will fit as well but cannot confirm that as I do not use the domes when I start seeds.

Q: Is the pot size right to grow tomato, cucumber and other vegetable seedlings? Or is it too small for these types of seedlings? Thanks.

These pots are big enough to start your seeds. -- Maybe I will try that this year since I have them. I'm in zone 4b, so at least for tomatoes, I try to get my plants bigger before they can go outside. I tend to use a smaller peat pot and transfer to 3-4" pot or start in a 3-4" pot. I may not need to do that at all! We're supposedly in zone 5, but sadly my garden does not behave that way. It could also be me. hehe
