I wanted to upgrade my hobby photography with a lighting set that didn't break the bank, but also included everything I needed to get started right away. I found this set which includes the light bulbs, stands, light softening clothes, and case to carry them. The LED lights produce a nice even light and the white balance/brightness adjustments that can be made from the remotes help dial in the right amount of light needed. It is quite bright, but not blindingly bright. I've included a few sample photos in this review taken with my DSLR, they are straight from camera, no post-processing.Things I liked about this set:- It is complete, out of the box. Containing everything you would need for great portrait and art photography.- The adjustments for white balance are very helpful when needing to match the ambient light sources. The remotes are handy to make adjustments on the fly and since the light sources are LED, they will last a long time.- It is quick to setup and teardown as needed. And stores nicely in its included case.- The quality is good for the price, not rock solid like some professional equipment, but adequate for a home setup.Things I would like to see improved:- The cords on the lights are quite short, you will definitely need an extension cord for each light- The light bulbs get quite hot. While the heatsinks built into the bulbs do a good job, I would not run this setup for over an hour without giving it a chance to cool down, and definitely do not leave it unattended- The light softening cloths are sometimes finicky to put on, would have been nicer if they were attached with magnets instead of velcro.

After looking up many videos showing how to light your table for making art videos I decided to get this set of lights. They’re very bright, the soft boxes work well, and I like how easy it is to alter the warmth and intensity of the light. The tripods feel quite sturdy even at the highest setting and the added sand bag is a great idea (although I didn’t use them). I did have an issue with one of the umbrella mechanisms on one of the soft boxes but emailed the company and they send a replacement quickly. So far it seems like a great value and I’m happy with the purchase.
