So there are quite a few retro consoles out and this one does seem to be a decent selection of games and the controls are responsive enough. Sound isnt too horrible. Even comes with extra controller incase someone wants to play with u in a two player game.Lets be real they are NES games so they are quite dated. Also TONS of just odd and fake games that are aweful. You have to fish around but there are some jems in there if u look. Would be a lot better if the ick games were just removed. 20 good games is better then 500 mystery games. Good for long car rides

The first one I got was a dud. It turned on twice. The first time I played for 45 mins before the screen started to get dark. Charged it for several hours. Turned on second time and screen started getting dark after 10 mins. Then it refused to turn on again. Noticed battery and back cover were loose. If I held it with back facing down and bumped it, the cover and battery would fall out. Went thru Amazon return and received a replacement super fast.Second unit seems to be holding up much better. Screen is decent but not too bright. Display colors are good. Volume is controled by wheel on left side. Sound is similar to 8 bit, retro and cute. Light on screen edge turns on when charging but no indicator when done. Plenty of games but many have obscure generic names. You can scroll faster using left/right pads to skip screens. Controls/buttons work fine on both the console and the extra controler.AV connector is dated but works if you have that port. Connected to my larger tv but looks too pixelated on the screen. Plus the AV connector is the same as the charge port. Battery is small capacity, so you can't play on larger screen and charge at same time.Cute handheld, if you get one that works. Good for quick breaks or to introduce kids to retro games. I say spend a little more and get one with better quality.

What a fun stocking stuffer this makes, lots of fun variety of games and just the right size to carry along with you. Amazing it can hold so many games! Great gift!

There are already plenty of pictures in other reviews, so I'll just give you my experience with it.1. It worksOnce the battery is charged, the screen comes up pretty quick. You select the game you want to play, press start and of you go.The games are generic games from the 80's. The screen is nice and display good colors. The sound is whatever it was back in gaming then, so don't expect stereo sound tracks.2. Comes with a controller, but occupy the same USB as the charging port. For me, the controller is a gimmick unless you plug it to external display.3. The plastic feels/is cheap. That's not something that will resist time. The battery door doesn't stay close unless you push the pin correctly. It feels light and cheap.All in all: You get what you pay for: A decent $20 retro gaming portable console, which feels like a $20 piece of electronic.If you set your expectations to that level, you good to go!

My wife and I love this little handheld.Didn’t know what to expect but it impressed us a lot with the bright high quality screen, loud sound, long lasting battery, and nice build quality.It has a really nice selection of older 8-bit games and older favorites so that’s cool.Not sure if there is a way to add/change the roms built in but has a regular usb connection to charge so that’s handy.Very cool handheld video game!
