Very brittle and hinges unstable - needs extra strengthening
It took a long time to assemble this as it didn't come with instructions only a QR code for the video. It looked good but the first time I tried to lift the lid I didn't notice that two of the hinges had turned round a bit and they immediately cracked the panels.I was quite horrified at the thought of having to dismantle and return the item after all the effort to build it and so emailed the seller to see if they could send me two replacement panels. They got back the next day and said to buy more panels and send them the order number and they'll refund me. Unfortunately all the DIY panel kits from their store are sold out. However, I came up with a quick fix and it's actually worked out much better than I could have hoped but unless you have lots of tools and are happy to whip up a fix I'd recommend you are extremely careful with this product. Some tips I revommend to help make this lid stronger:1) don't attach it to the nsin habitat using the brackets, just rest it on top of the habitat or use flexible and loose cable ties if you have to have it attached.2) stick strips of clear duct tape along the edges of the inner panels (inside and out) before screwing in the hinges, this will hopefully prevent cracking.

Lid review
They don’t make bottoms for their cages which I find odd as not everyone has a 2x4 baseSo I bought the lid for this cage and used it for the bottom insteadIt’s not perfect but it works great and I can’t wait to adopt a piggieOtherwise I absolutely adore this cageI just couldn’t bring myself to return this cage it’s just that beautifulI will be buying more in the future thank you

So great for DIY-ing
We have cats and guinea pigs and I love this lid. It can be customized so many ways to open fully, have supports fully, or use partial supports and make it foldable like I have. If you want extra folding you'll need to buy more hinges but the company is great about selling each supply you may need in small quantities so you can DIY whatever you need. I love this lid and this cage 👍

Nice cage but has its downsides
I love this cage in the aspects that it's easy to clean and can see my guinea pigs with the see through feature on lid and side panels. I wish it was more sturdy though I broke the lid day 2 of putting it together. I would hate to send it back since it took me a long time to build. I have two dogs and this so far keeps them away from the gunea pigs. I should of read the reviews on here awesome tips for helping with the lid and prevent from breaking. Seems to be a common issue on here and doesn't take long for the lid to Crack.

Don't know
I don't know how I feel about the top cover.. Took some time to put together and half of my top cover already cracked trying to open it and comes with poles that kind of ruin the whole cage..

Looks pretty and clean
Easy to clean, looks nice. Best option is to keep the smells away because once the dirty stuff is clean there is no smell on the wall or floor. The woody house absorbe the smell and even cleaning every other day the smell stay or it would be trigger in a day.Down points because unless you buy their water bottle it is really difficult to use the ones you have, you will have to spend money on the paper at the bottom which is convenient too but it is an extra expense, and even thought the top came with the part to attach it to on side, it doesn’t fit so we left it just on top and fold it or take it out all together to feed the guinea pigs.As you can see we have two big guinea pigs, they are jumpers so it has to have the lid otherwise they would get hurt.
