Cutting to the chase – these are great. I looked at many of the options available on Amazon and chose these for the following reasons:First, they look classy. High shine on the stainless steel. Deep, shiny black on the rounds. The rounds on the cuff links are almost the width of a nickel coin and feature the nice detail of a ribbed edge. No one else may notice it, but you will – and maybe your lady will when she helps you undress. :-)The shirt studs have a larger diameter backing disc that will not pull through the buttonhole on the shirt beneath the front placket. The backings are thin, so they do not push the stud outward. The studs fit tightly to the shirt placket – eliminating the dreaded “shirt stud droop.”Each piece was packaged in its own individual tiny zip lock pouch, so they would not scratch one another in transport. Unexpectedly, they came with a presentation case, suitable for gifting or for storing them safely in your dresser drawer. I did see the case in the pictures in the ad posting, but I did not expect it to be as nice as it is.These are a bargain for the price. I've included pictures to let you see what you may expect when you order these. I recommend them without hesitation.

I perform with a musical ensemble where our attire is a tuxedo and tux shirt, so I need cufflinks and studs. These work perfectly, not too flashy, not too plain, not too expensive, not too cheap: just right. I carry two sets in case I lose a stud or cufflink in traveling (which I have). A set in its gift box also makes a perfect "welcome" gift for new members joining the ensemble.

Purchased these to go with my black tux to attend a wedding. They were good quality and worked well with the budget. There are certainly fancier cufflinks, but if you aren't wearing them very often there is no need to spend too much when these work great.

This inexpensive set of formal shirt studs and cufflinks arrived very quickly and served the purpose. The black inserts are actual onyx rather than plastic. The metal parts appear to be chrome plated rather than silver plated but don't draw attention to themselves, especially when worn with a tuxedo in the evening. You can't go wrong with these for the price.

These are very well made and a great value. Sure it's not real Onyx or Silver but look how inexpensive they are. Almost no one is going to see they are fake. IF you attend lots of formal events, buy the real thing. But if you are only going to need these for one or two events, these are fine and as nice looking as any from a rental place. In fact, these only cost a few dollars more than what the rental place was charging and they are nicer looking without being flashy. You don't want to be flashy at a formal event. Never upstage your woman. Rule #1 for men at a formal event.

Great looking set that I used with a custom midnight blue tuxedo. Solid weight and the cuffs stayed put throughout a night of festivities. The only downside for myself was the backings on the buttons was quite large and required help from my wife to get through my shirt. Again, this will probably differ based on your shirt, but at least for me, it wasn't easy. The upside is that these buttons will NEVER fall out! :)

I purchased these for use with a tux, and have worn them a couple times. They have generally worked out very well:Pros:-They have a nice heft to them; they don't feel or look cheap-Simple, elegant design-They didn't fall out or get lost during long hours of crazy wedding partying and dancing-Comes with a nice little box (although not the highest quality box)Cons:-A bit expensive, although still reasonable compared to alternatives-Would be nice it the box they came in wasn't quite so cheap / plastic, but then again, the box isn't what people seeI'd recommend them to those looking for some nice but not outrageously priced studs / links to go with a tux.

They look good and they do their job.
