Zando Shallow River

Das buch ist super aber ist gibt eine menge seiten um die 30 die einfach rausgefallen oder kurz davor sind obwohl es komplett neu ist. Als ich es angefangen habe hab ich die ersten seiten nicht gemerkt aber als ich es besser halten musst sind aus dem nichts die blätter rausgefallen ich hab nicht dran gerissen oder irgendwas anderes gemacht.

Shallow River, for me, was a tougher read than Haunting and Hunting Adeline. It ripped my heart out and served it to me on a silver platter. What River went through, how she saved herself and fought back, and how she found hope and found true love at the end.. it was a great book and very well-written, especially with such sensitive subject matter. I think this is an important read that brings to light a sad and extremely tough reality a lot of people have to live.

This was the 4th H.D Carlton book (just ordered the 5th) and she has quickly become my favorite author.The book is well written and easy to follow. Full of dark romance, spicy scenes, murder, abuse and the rest!I think as a woman, we all (unfortunately) find parts of the female lead, River in ourselves. She's is true hero, or as she would prefer "survivor". That shows the strength of a lioness. She proves what can happen to anyone when pushed too far.We hate Ryan, but we love Mako. Amelia and Alison are our favs too.Please read, but tried with caution if you have ever suffered from any types of abuse. It's all in there. Good luck.

Insanely dark with a bit of spice. The story itself kept me from getting any sleep. I was suffering with imposter syndrome while reading. It was wickedly relatable and I still don’t know how I feel about that.This book was such an emotional read for me. H. D. Carlton really knows how to make your heart palpitate bruh. I laughed, I cried, I screamed, I even wanted to vomit. River is a badass!! Even while losing herself she made sense to me.Mako can get it any DAY! Okkkkuuurrrrrrrrr.The ending had me holding my damn breath I was so nervous!!! I know that H. D. Carlton loves to bathe in the tears of her readers so prepare to have an overflowing tub, girl!

My first book by this author and I enjoyed it. Loved the writing style. Loved the issues that was raised and it was well written. Cannot wait to read more by the queen herself
