The daybed was easy to put together and came with all the necessary tools (hex keys and a little wrench). It's a very nice piece of furniture, I got a couple of 8'' twin mattresses for it and they fit nicely. The mattresses are slightly wider than the frame, as another commenter mentioned, but I think that's a good thing: the overhang just covers the edges a little so I don't whack my knees on the frame. Easy to convert to a king bed, too, and that extra mattress width doesn't cause any problems (it's really only an inch or two). I'm happy with it, good value for the price. Sturdy, practical, and visually appealing.

My son loves this bed! It's fun for the lights. Plus the bottom bed can be raised to be a separate bed the same height or place next and attach for a larger bed. Great value and easy to assemble. The appearance is great and even the teenager loves to show his friends.

Honestly I picked the cheapest, best rated trundle bed I could find for a temporary guest bedroom situation and have been highly impressed. I put it together in about 1.5 hours over my lunch break, easy to follow instructions as long as you’re good with pictures and orienting yourself directionally. Super sturdy once together and the lights are a fun bonus!

Assembly is straightforward and directions are clear. Frame is well constructed and sturdy when put together. I've used two 8" mattresses and probably could have for bigger ones if I thought it necessary. I love that it includes a charging port on the side of the bed, with two USB-A ports and a UBC-C port. Aesthetically, it's not a standout, but fits my decor.It was hard to find a daybed with the trundle that can be elevated to the same height as the main section, but this one has that feature.My only complaint is the narrower width of the bed. There are a couple inches of overhang using a standard twin mattress. It's not a huge issue and doesn't detract from the functionality in any great way.All in all, for the price paid, it's a terrific bed!
