I got these so stakes that I could use them as an anchor for aan outdoor leash for my dog. I have pounded all the way into the ground including the bend at the top, leaving just a small space between the loop and the ground so I could attach the leash. So far it is working very well. My concerns were if it would anchor securely enough to prevent my 80lb lab from pulling it up. So far so good. The design in the spikes helps to add resistance. It is pounded far enough into the ground so as not to cause an issue with a lawn mower as well. The galvanized steel will hopefully keep it from corroding too quickly. There is a plentiful supply of stakes in any event. So far, so good. It's doing the job.
