I am giving this item 5 stars because it does a good job for this model. However, I am not sure that this is the style that works best for what I wanted to baby proof.The product comes well packaged with a paper that has their website. There, you will be redirected to their installation video. The installation in itself is fast but there are a number of pieces that if you are not familiar with, it can be confusing. The installation video plays a bit fast but I changed the playback speed and then was able to tell what they are doing. The only part I didnt realize at first is that they use the ruler to measure the thickness of the face of the drawer and then you need to inset the plate that the lock will latch to by that same measurement. This is necessary so that you dont have a gap when your child tries to force open the drawer.Where this model didnt work well for me is that the second and third drawers dont have the horizontal wood to attach to. Thus, I ended up having to put the plate vertically instead of horizontally. This was the same for the cabinet doors. All the videos I could find with this style latch didnt install themIn the second or third drawers so this was confusing and not something I realized earlier. The 3rd pic shows the first drawer with the horizontal plate and the 4th and 5th show the other drawer and door with the vertical plate. The problem with this installation is that you cannot inset so you get a little bit of a gap when you force it open. I included a pic of this in my last photo (the gap in the first drawer is due to my mistake of not realizing how they were using the ruler but the other two drawers would have a gap regardless). Additionally, this cabinet style (where there is no wood in between drawers) meant that with the locks engaged, opening one drawer also opens the other ones as they are latched onto each other.The downside of all of this is that my child put her finger in the little gap to try and grab something. Obviously it wasnt enough for them to get it but when they leaned on the drawer it closed causing a pinched finger :( so overall the item works, but certainly has its caveats!

I first saw this style of child safety locks at a friends house and thought they were amazing. I was so excited to get my own set and give them a try. They are so much better than the old-fashioned type locks where you’d have to push down on the plastic pieces to get them to open. These install very easily and quickly. You can simply pull off the adhesive and stick them where you want them to be on the inside of your doors and then let it cure for 24 hours before use to make sure that the adhesive sticks. The magnets are very strong and instantly click down the latch so that the doors will open the way they’re supposed to be. This is a large set that comes with included screws as well if you would prefer to screw the latches into your cabinet doors instead of using the adhesive. It also comes with two magnets. We like to store our magnets up on the very top of our refrigerator so we always know where they are. It also comes with little lock stickers that you can place on each cabinet where you have the latch so you know exactly where to put the magnet to unlock the door. Works very well, for a great price and keeps little ones safe.

This is a nice little kit that uses a magnetic latch to keep cabinets and drawers closed to your little explorers. It only comes with one magnetic opener but your refrigerator magnets may be able to work given their strength. It is also very important to not misplace the applicator tool otherwise getting the two pieces aligned will be difficult. I found that they have a pretty good hold compare to other baby proofing products, but keep in mind this is an adhesive style product. So the better the adhesive is great, but it also means the harder to remove when you no longer want to use it, fortunately this also comes with a slide that when pushed it disable the lock. So you will not have to mess with finding the magnet key but it will still be on the door or drawer.

Using magnets is a little nerdy, so cool by me.These are a great solution for child-proofing (or in my case cat-proofing) cabinets, with no significant install and nothing visible. - The sticky pads seem very strong, though it comes with small screws if you need them as well. - Installation is pretty simply, though the Youtube video running at about 3x speed did not really help until I stopped it at key points to make sure I was grabbing the right pieces. I still don't know what the purpose of the long skinny "tab" plastic piece was, I just didn't use it. - The magnet just works, put it on teh cabient door where the latch is and you hear the latch click open.

These magnetic locks are great for babyproofing your kitchen. They aren't like the cheap easily bypassed locks from the past. The cabinets cannot be opened without the key, which we keep stuck to our fridge. They can be turned on and off as needed, which is really great for cooking or hosting guests that are not used to locks.I use them for my autistic child to keep him out of our knives and am very pleased with them. They are strong and cannot be bypassed in anyway he's tried so far. He's much older and stronger than any toddler I've met and he has yet to get into anything he shouldn't.
