Ok
Ok if you like book about world war 2. Well explained, enough for a 12 yers old boy. He didn’t like the chapters of Max.

Three Lives. One Photograph
When The World Was Ours by Liz Kessler is a powerful historical children’s novel, suitable for ages twelve years and over. Even as an adult, I found this book an incredibly moving read about a time when Europe was veiled by a terrible dark cloud. All the characters were well drawn, likable and realistic. We see the dreadful acts of man’s inhumanity to man. And we see that even in Auschwitz, people retain their humanity. The Nazis can take the freedoms but they cannot take the human heart and soul. One photograph. Three copies in 1936. Three lives united. Three lives torn apart. What and who will remain in 1945?When The World Was Ours is powerful and heartbreaking. I think every person should read this book, regardless of their age. It is in the book’s simplicity that the horrors are magnified. Never again must these events happen.

Arrived badly packaged and filthy
This is a phenomenal book that I would highly recommend. I am disgusted with the vendor, however, who thinks it's acceptable to send books covered in grime, badly marked and bashing about unsecured or protected within an oversized postal bag. I won't be buying from them again.
