Our home was built in 1992 with the Marco unit in the fireplace. I took the chance of ordering since it was one of the listed sizes. Installation was quick and easy. The glass was well protected in the shipping box and looks great.

The glass disappear with the glow of the fire against the logs. The black version provides the perfect frame along the top and bottom leaving the rest for unobstructed viewing.Installation was simple. Fold the doors and install into bottom pivot hole first, then slide along top into metal clip. Once installed, the alignment can be adjusted with wrench supplied. Several different sized posts and many extra nuts to get right fit. Took 30-minutes to install and light my fire. Worth it.Wife is extremely happy and the kids even commented on how nice they look.Thank you again for great product and being there for support. We will tell our neighbors, as they most likely have the Marco fire insert as well.

I'm so amazed this was on Amazon! We were looking for a way to baby-proof our fireplace that was here before we got here. It was likely built in 1997 and the previous homeowners did not order the doors too. The doors installed quite well. It took some finessing to understand what the instructions meant by adjusting the screws at the corners to get it to be level. I love the way it looks now. The doors are great. The instructions were helpful. The fireplace is very unique in size, so it was hard finding exactly the correct dimensions for some kind of baby-proofing. I love the look of perfectly fitting glass doors so much. I knew these were the right doors because the previous owners left us the manual from the 1990s! So, we had the exact model and could check if it fits! It was a miracle to find the doors are still being made, or in stock somehow.

The sold black doors were packed very well for shipping, unpacked in less than three minutes and installed in less than five minutes total. I ordered them to replace the doors with the brass horizontal lines that came with the house 25 years ago. The solid black look is much nicer.I thought this review was posted a month ago. The odd thing about these doors is that the top cylinder part at the top of each door only fit in one of my original fireplace frames. The top frame slot is too thin to accept the piece that fits into the slide slot.

I really like the look and function of these doors, and the customer service support from Burgess Manufacturing is outstanding! I sent an e-mail on a Sunday Morning, requesting some product details, and received an email response within minutes!! (They use tempered glass in the doors.)

I wanted to replace my fireplace doors on my Marco fireplace. They had a hideous brass strip and wooden handles and looked like 1979. I was so happy to find a set of doors that were plain black (no brass). The handles could be simpler and more modern looking but they are not offensive and are plain black. They look a LOT better than my brass/wood handles. The doors were pretty easy to fit. Take care when you first install as they might fall out of the tracks if the nuts are tightened correctly. I'd advise putting down a soft towel under while you work. Once I figured out how to tighten the nuts they seem to stay in place and open/close pretty easily. The quality is not quite as sturdy as my original doors which is why I am giving them 4 stars and not 5. My old doors seem more heavy duty and are quite a lot heavier especially due to the glass being thicker. But I was so happy to just find some that fit and installed within 20 minutes. Overall these doors looks great plus I figured out since it's been converted to gas that I can remove the ugly metal curtains from behind the doors. I also painted the perimeter of my fireplace with a high temp black paint so it looks fresh. My fireplace looks great!! Nice!!

We have two fireplaces that needed door upgrades. Purchased two different sizes from this seller and they both worked great and make the fireplaces look so much more modern and sleek. Very happy with the doors but even happier with the quick customer service response by the seller with small questions about the installation of the doors. Quick and easy to actually talk to a human being in Georgia to get fast answers.
