Completely waterproof
I work outside hiking in the forest outdoors and my hiking boots are not so waterproof anymore. I was looking for something to get me through one last field season until I can replace my boots. These were perfect. I wear liner socks under them, they don't feel great by themselves. I've worn them hiking through thick brush on a wet day when my boots got soaked through (literally poured water out at the end of the day) but my feet felt fine! I could feel the water soaking through my boots as a cooling sensation but the water didn't reach my feet, they stayed almost completely dry! Almost because they do kinda trap in sweat. So if you have super sweaty feet they might not be ideal for you (or antiperspirant works for feet too), but I 100% prefer the feeling of slightly sweat socks to soaking wet socks I literally have to wring the water out of. Maybe not ideal for a super hot day, but they work great for me.

Great socks.
Waterproof as advertised and fit snug against the foot; however, only wear them in warmer weather. They do not retain warmth and if you wear them during cold weather, be prepared to have cold feet.

Kept my feet warm and dry.
Wear them kayaking because launch areas aren't the best. Comfortable and fit into my water shoes.

Feel good soft socks that are waterproof - great for kayaking
I used these socks for a three day kayak camping trip on the Buffalo river in Arkansas last weekend. I wore them underneath my ankle length boots. But getting in and out of kayaks for stops and launches typically covered the top of my boot, and while water got inside, my feet stayed dry as these waterproof socks were much higher than the top of my boot. They’re soft and the thin membrane has a hint of a crackling sound, but they feel like normal socks when you have them on. Once I went in deeper water that was above the socks, and they got wet , so I turned them inside out and dried them overnight on a branch. They were still a little damp the next day, but warmed up with my feet as I was moving around and paddling. I’m going to use them in the future under my boots to protect my feet from rubbing and for additional waterproof dryness. I like these a lot better than my thicker neoprene socks.

Had my doubts, but they actually work
I wasn’t sure any sock could live up to some of the reviews I was reading for these, but I finally tried them out for the first time and am thoroughly wowed.Spent a good three hours wading through creeks and rivers in very leaky galoshes (we’re talking whole inches of water in the boot, great for protection from stones and such but basically no water protection), meaning that the exterior of both socks was soaking wet for the entire three hours. My feet were cold enough from the water that I was sure the socks must’ve become oversaturated and soaked through somewhere, but when I stripped them off (still spongey and soaked on the outside), the thin cotton socks I’d worn underneath were bone-dry like I hadn’t even gone anywhere. I could’ve worn them around the house. That’s nuts to me!

Favorite socks
These are great socks, help with odor, keep feet dry even if shoes are wet. Highly recommend

Keeping your feet dry and keeping them comfortable are not the same thing
I just took these socks on a canoe trip and wore them under sandals. I didn't do anything too strenuous in them so I can't speak to how breathable they are under more difficult conditions, but at the campsite and on a gentle hike I didn't get sweaty in them.My main complaint is about this type of waterproof sock in general, not so much about this specific product. The waterproof membrane is sandwiched between two layers of normal sock fabric, meaning that the outside absorbs water just like a regular sock. Even though the membrane prevents the water from touching your skin. the sock still feels cold and wet, so your foot feels cold and wet even if it's not. That would be an important distinction over several days of use I'm sure--keeping your feet dry is important of course. But in the short term, these socks will not prevent your feet from FEELING wet and cold. If you wear these socks with wet sandals for instance, your feet will feel wet and cold until the sandals dry.The socks also started to pill and show wear on the instep where the sandal strap crossed after just a couple hours. They were brand new, and I can't say how much worse the pilling will get, but I was disappointed to see the signs of wear so soon.Another thing to be aware of is that these will not fit as snugly as a normal pair of socks. Because of the membrane, they're not as elastic. I assume this applies to all waterproof socks, not just this brand, but I can't say for sure. They fit like a cross between a sock and a diving boot.

Great!
I used them today going kayaking, I have rubber boots but they must have a pin hole and they take in a bit of water. Had these socks and my feet were bone dry, socks were wet on the outside. Got a small, I’m a 6 and half and they fit perfectly. A bit on the expensive side but they are great, really happy with purchase!

Keep feet dry, but not super warm
Really great, soft on the inside and out while keeping feet dry. I first tested them out in the bathtub with water reach just below the waterproofing line. It was a strange feeling but when I got out, the outside of the socks were wet, but the inside remained dry and my feet were not sweaty or clammy. I wore them with Nike slides in the snow and they kept my feet dry, but were still chilly. I recommend having warm socks underneath, but great purchase.

100 work!
I didn't test these by standing in a bucket of water, however wore them on multiple hikes and my boots and outside of the sock were soaked, however, my inside sock were completely dry. Would strongly recommend this item, one of the beat purchases for my hiking adventures.
