This thing absolutely works.I am terrorized by mosquitos and no-see-ums. The get huge, itchy welts.This contraption, used directly on the welt , immediately kills the itch.But, it is quite a little intense HOT spot when working. It have found that you need to press it super hard on the spot, hold your breath and then wait for the beep to signal your pain and itchiness are OVER.Would I use it on a kid? No.Am I a wuss? I don’t think so. It is blindingly hot when the batteries are fresh. But it has to be HOT to kill the itch.Do I like the white hot pain? Not really. Ok, maybe a little.But I prefer the 5 seconds of heat over and endless evening of scratching that seems to go on forever. Topical sprays never work and downing Benadryl like tic-tacs makes for a sluggish evening.So, I carry one of these things with me everywhere. It doesn’t leave a mark.If you feel like it isn’t hot—probably time to change the batteries!

this is hot but it works to speed recovery and stop the itch. I will be buying another in case this one is lost

This item seems to work as it should. Just be sure to follow the directions and it helps with insect bite relief.

It seems to work very good on mosquito bites

We took a chance on trying out the original model when it was a deal of the day at the big box electronic store, it totally paid off! We do a lot of gardening and outdoor activities up here in MN and inevitably get attacked by mosquitos. This helps so much! If you treat the bite right away it stops the itch from even starting. Some times it takes a few zaps when we can't get to the bite right away and end up itching it but it will get the job done. The batteries are lasting a shockingly long time as well.We now got the BR10 to put on a lanyard or keychain so we will have it on hand right away, it gets just as hot!We have recommended it our friends and they love it!

I'm a mosquito & spider magnet; this product has been my summer savior!I chose the on-the-go version as a test as I forget to apply repellant when walking the dog. It's attached to the leash for easy access and I can activate it as soon as I feel a tingle. The blue light does the job quickly and efficiently with swelling kept to a bare minimum. I have used it on spider bites after they are already welt-sized and it provides relief and speeds up the healing process.

We frequently spend time in the Boundary Waters between northern Minnesota and Canada which are amazingly beautiful but also amazingly mosquito infested. We bought two of the Insect Bite Healers and used them on our most recent camping trip and they worked really well. Some bites required a couple of treatments but, overall, the Bite Healers significantly lessened the itch and shortened the recovery time. I hope and expect that it will work equally well on other stinging insect bites.

Doesn’t work for longer than a month without breaking. Don’t bother buying it
