Beautiful and SHARP!
I bought this for my daughter as a graduation gift. I wanted her to have a special knife, and I thought this was really beautiful. I wasn’t excepting it to be so incredibly sharp. It’s the best knife we’ve ever had, and we have a collection of very high end knives that chefs have recommended over the years. This one blows them away, and it absolutely stunning in person!

Good knife, but chips easily.
i dropped the knife once from about 3 feet and the tip broke off, there are also chips along the blade from daily use, for this price i expect it to be stronger. it is very sharp and holds the edge for awhile.

Giftable Quality. Worthy of Any Chef or Kitchen.
This is a very well-weighted knife. Feels comfortable in the hand and even more importantly, keeps and edge for a very long time.

Okay ... now THATs a knife.
I wasn't sure what to expect but I was hopeful for quality and craftsmanship. This thing is STUPID SHARP!!!! Like, wow. It came out of the box sharp as a razor, absolutely nutty. I've only used it once but I'm really excited to see how the blade holds up. It seems to be a nice tempered steel, it says "powdered steel" on the box which makes sense, its not any fancy damascus or anything of the sort. I really like it.Best part of this, probably the most comfortable knife handle I've ever used The way the blade curves back at the tang so that you get to grip the blade itself and hold the handle still is magnificent. Compared to other knives where your fingers or knuckle rides against the metal itself - this has a wondrous fit. The handle is octagonal sort of, and just rests really nicely in your hand. The balance point is perfection right past the handle, giving you amazing control all together. This thing is awesome.

functional art
First, the packaging is lovely. The knife comes in a wood box with a logo. The box has form fitted padding.Next, the handle. The handle is where you meet a tool, and this one is perfect. It has a satisfying shape, feels slightly warm in the hand, and looks beautiful. The blade is exquisitely forged. The malleable iron has a lovely Damascus pattern. The line where the carbon steel meets the softer iron is pleasingly wavy. The entire blade is polished to a mirror finish.Moving from art and craftsmanship to function, this knife is very comfortable in the hand. It's well balanced and comes razor sharp.Do you *need* a knife like this to cook? No. But every time you pick it up, this fine too will make you happy that you splurged.

Beautiful & Still Functional...
This knife is beautiful. From the handle down to the blade and even the packaging and presentation of it.The handle is ergonomically designed, so it fits extremely comfortably in the hand. The balance is just above the index finger. It is razor sharp. Slices with ease. The blade itself is a little heavier than our other kitchen knives. The quality seems to be there.Time will tell its durability and how easy it will be to resharpen it. Overall impressed with the performance of this knife and it's great to add to your kitchen.
