Durable and just the right size.
I'm so glad I made this purchase. I got them for a bucket-toilet while visiting Blue Springs in FL. The public restrooms were horrid, as expected, so I popped my privacy tent and me and my family enjoyed a clean spot to do our business with ease. The bag is durable and just the right size. I do think it's important to have some kind of absorbant material for the liquids, then toss into garbage, just like you would do for your dog. Easy-peasy.

A Convenient Camping Companion
The Green Elephant Portable Toilet Bags have been a handy addition to my camping gear, offering a convenient solution for dealing with waste in the great outdoors. Here's what I liked about them:Portability and Convenience (5/5):These bags are a lifesaver when you're camping in remote areas without access to traditional restroom facilities. The compact size and lightweight design make them easy to carry in your camping backpack. They are perfect for situations when nature calls and you need a quick and discreet solution.Sturdy and Leak-Resistant (4/5):The 1-mil thickness of the bags provides a good level of durability. They held up well during use, and I didn't experience any leaks or unpleasant surprises. However, a slightly thicker material might be even more reassuring.Compatibility (4/5):These bags are designed for use with 5-gallon buckets, and they fit perfectly. They are also compatible with most camping toilet seats, providing a stable and hygienic solution. It's worth noting that they can be used for both solid and liquid waste.Odor Control (3/5):While the bags do a decent job at containing odors, they aren't completely airtight. If you're using them in hot weather or leaving waste for an extended period, you may notice some odors escaping. To improve this aspect, a stronger odor-sealing mechanism would be appreciated.Easy Disposal (5/5):One of the best features of these bags is the ease of disposal. The zip ties provided securely seal the bags, allowing for clean and hassle-free disposal when you reach an appropriate waste disposal site.Affordable Solution (4/5):The price for a pack of 15 bags is reasonable, considering the convenience they offer. However, for extended camping trips, you may find yourself needing multiple packs, which can add up in cost.

Absolutely fantastic!
These bags are AMAZING. My husband and I went camping remotely last week and used a 5 gallon bucket and toilet lid from Amazon for our toilet. Inside our pop up privacy tent it felt just like home! They're very durable, you can feel how thick they are in your hand and the seam is on the inside so you don't have to worry about leaks. We ended up taking down our privacy tent because it's super cheap and the wind was blowing it all over the place, so we kept the sealed bags in our car (inside a Hefty garbage bag) and there was no odor the next morning and we threw them into the garbage when we got to a gas station. Granted it was in the 40s that night; I wouldn't try it in the middle of the summer. But regardless, they're very well made. I will say $14 for 15 bags is really expensive compared to the alternatives, but you can't argue with the quality. I love that they're compostable too, so if you have to use them on a backpacking trip they can be buried and decompose in just a few months. Super cool.

Leak
These bags appear to be sturdy but the first time I set up the porta potty I placed this bag inside of another bag and was I ever glad I did. There was quite a bit of leakage into the other bag. It’s possible that the first bag on the roll might have been damaged but I haven’t been brave enough to try using it alone. I was not using this outside. It was for nighttime use in an older home without plumbing on the second floor.

Works great
I've used these for a couple seasons now for my portable camp toilet setup. They really do work great! I've even returned to the same campsite where I've buried waste in these bags, and they definitely seem to degrade quickly and efficiently, all things considered. I pair them with these gel pacs that turn liquid waste to a biodegradable mass of gel; this is a match made in heaven and it makes transporting these bags SO much easier. The plastic is quite thin to aid degradability, so use caution when you're setting the bags up in your toilet because it's really easy to accidentally tear it and find out later, the hard way.
