Q: How often do you apply soil acidifier?

No one can possibly answer this. The only way to know is by taking a soil test about 6-8" below the surface, applying this, and retesting 3 months later. Don't even THINK of using this without testing. You can do more harm than simply leaving things alone.

Q: How quickly does this work?

I have hydrangeas and a hibiscus plant (inground). Applied it 2 weeks ago, and it appears to be working, but you need to read the directions for repeat applications of it. My soil is very mixed clay, sand, and very fine decomposed granite which isn't easy on plants. My bushes are established and appear to appreciate the additional acidity.

Q: Can this be applied by hose in a garden bed of acid loving plants?

It's made to be slow release. They make liquid products that would work better. I purchased the liquid product they make.
