This is a coffee table book.If you were expecting an insightful read into the bathing habits of various peoples and countries around the world, you are in for a disappointment. The text is minimal, with the photography taking front and centre stage. That being said, the photos are a wonderful feast for the eyes and showcase various places around the globe, alongside their patrons.This is the kind of book you would peruse whilst waiting for your tea to arrive and I for one am happy that such a book exists.

I so loved this book. The photographs are wonderful but the spitting is just as wonderful.

Such a beautiful book…usually I don’t take the time to read the print with “coffee table books”…this one demands that we slow down enough to appreciate the pretty photos as well as the prose. Makes a great gift for any true nature/travel lover

I would love this book if it was only the gorgeous photos. I would love the book without photos because the writing is so lovely. But to have both together makes this book an incredibly beautiful work of art. I am savoring every page.I love the author’s reverence for nature and people, and for soaking in hot springs.
