Perfect size kibble & great for sensitive tummies!
I think ensuring your dog's good health is extremely important, and obviously their diet is a huge part of that. So I did a lot of research on all the different dog foods before finally choosing Applaws. As soon as we brought our first two dogs home at 12 weeks, we started to gradually swap their food over to the Applaws puppy food, and then eventually over to their adult dog food. Those 2 dogs (long-haired Chihuahuas) are now 6 years old, and we also have another 2 dogs - a 5 year old, one-eyed, mixed breed Romanian rescue and a 7 year old ex-breeding rescue who's a Spaniel cross. All 4 of our dogs are very happy, healthy dogs and they all do brilliantly on this food. Some of our dogs have particularly sensitive tummies, but this food doesn't upset their tummies at all. It's a good, manageable size kibble for the little Chihuahuas, who often struggle with other, bigger sized kibble (see photo with bowl of kibble in). It's equally great for our 2 bigger dogs too - one of which doesn't have very many teeth!Ultimately we're very happy with Applaws and believe our dogs are too, so we would highly recommend this dog food to any dog owner.

Love this!
My dog is 8 and has been on this food so fe she was 8 weeks old. I remember seeing a video back then stating it worked out about 12p a meal at the time, my dog is only small too. Another huge factor in opting for kibble was that apparently it is better for a dogs dental health than wet food, and that was definitely important to me as I don’t brush my dogs teeth so it’s probably a significant choice. She gets treats and leftover human food as a supplement to this. She saw a vet for a health check recently who said she’s in great shape and whatever I’m doing is working to keep her in good health. I think it’s largely the formula of this food, she also gets about an hours walk a day but that’s pretty much it for her health maintenance.I do find her cost benefits from oily fish or fish oils in the diet as this clear up dry skin she can get on her back, this is easily achieved as I often eat with people who don’t wish to eat the skin from their fish. I used to buy her fish oil supplements but have stopped as I didn’t like putting wet oil on her dry food if she didn’t eat it right away, it was leading to waste, and the fish oil spoiled before it was used up.I tried her on another organic brand of kibble but she wouldn’t eat it at all so she really has been on this her whole life and no sign of changing. She gets a wet tin once a month to have something other than chicken, I choose beef/offal/venison/lamb to include more red meat in the diet. Our dog has all her own teeth, no sign of tooth trouble and I think her breath is ok too. She has a good coat, is a healthy weight, energetic, playful, seems happy.

The only pet food to buy
I buy this for my cats. It works out about £4/kg when you buy the big bags, compared to £8/kg for the 'real' cat food, 'cause that only comes in 2kg large bags. The pellets are slightly larger, but my cats don't care. They're giant Maine Coons, plus I reckon it's good for their teeth to chomp on stuff.Applaws is easily the best pet food on the market. If you look at any of the others, they're 40% meat at the most! (Usually around 20% - even the 'name brand' foods.) The rest is cereal grains and other high-carbohydrate crap. Applaws is 75% meat, and the other 25% has NO cereal grains. What kind of dog would eat cornflakes in the wild? This is the reason pets (and humans, but that's a separate discussion) get fat and hyperactive. My cats have a giant hopper full of food. They can eat as much as they like, and have been able to since they were born, but they never get fat because they're eating mostly protein. High-carbohydrate foods like cereal grains stimulate the same addiction centres of the brain as drugs and smoking. Pets that eat these sorts of foods will overeat, and be hungry all the time - because they're physically addicted to them!Applaws is the only dry pet food I've found that's worth buying.

A quality food that my little dog loves.
I recently tried the Applaws pouches because my 4 year old chi had a bad tummy and I thought chicken might help.I called the company and asked them about the standards of food because production is in Thailand, which I was wary about, and I also asked if their tins are BPA free. I was reassured that frequent inspections are made and advised, in accord with my own research, that the food processing facility in Thailand is high grade, specifically 'A' standard. (And of human grade standard.)My dog doesn't particularly like kibble, as he doesn't like crunching - he turns his nose up at the ones he doesn't like and I find them spat out on the floor. However, an offering of one of these tasty smelling crunchies was received without hesitation.I mix it with the Applaws tinned foods and with this kibble being on offer, I can feed him a quality food mix within my budget. The best bit? Seeing him absolutely relish his food. I'm delighted to give him this and with the quality ingredients (including good gut bacteria), I can be sure that I'm supporting his health in the best possible way. So far, his tummy has been okay. Oh, and every bowl has been licked clean.

Satisfaite
