Ice maker jamming
This is most likely the issue with your ice maker freezing up. it keeps the warmer temp from the fridge from thawing the ice, remember they share the same compartment

It Fit my Samsung
The unit is much thicker than the original which should make for a better seal. It would have been nice it had included some instruction on removal of the old one. Of course, once you figure how to remove the original, the install is the reverse.
