Runs smaller than other spanx
I own a lot of Spanx products. Gotta preface my review with that because it's very relevant.I got this in an XL because I'm between L and XL in Spanx shapewear so I size up if it's at my mid-waist so it won't roll at the waist. I'm a size Large in the faux leather leggings and pants. My thighs rub and I want to hide my little poochy belly. This pair stayed at the waist more or less ok. My mid waist is 34 inches and my hips are 40 inches. But it kept rolling up at the thighs and wouldn't stay in place. So now I've got thigh rub as well as everything being bunched up down there. It was not comfortable. Maybe if the thighs were like one inch longer and had some silicone at the bottom, it might be better. But right now I'm not going to tell anyone to get this style.

Look mom, no heartburn!
Love how stretchy these are. Any tighter or thicker and I'd avoid them and they'd just sit in my drawer while I pretend to own shapewear. The funny thing is though, when they arrived I was like, no way are these going on without creating massive heartburn, but boy am I loving being wrong about that. I pulled these up, and kept on pulling and they pulled up over my mama belly until I was resembling Urkel, and it felt soooo good for a second to have all that support. Then I moved them back to my waist so I could pull my legs as long as they could go to prevent any rolling up my thigh given the short size. I usually order 7" shorts like these for this very reason, but after wearing these multiple times I haven't found this to be a real problem even with my sizable biker thighs being a naturally hilly place. I mean, I think they did it once when they had inched up very far while I was doing housework, but a quick adjustment of the stretch material solved that quick, so just rest assured unless your fit is off these really shouldn't be driving you mad with rolling. Oh, and yes, the brown looks even better in person ! I was afraid that huge seam on the thigh would look terrible but they looked fine enough for me to wear around the house and yard without looking indecent.

They're ok
For me, they do roll. However they are a great fit even tho I thought there was no way they were ever going to fit me!They stretch very nice and aren't too tight at all. I can move well in them however they do leave a bulge at my thigh and they do roll.Women are all different shapes and sizes so these may work great for some and not as great for others. They didn't work that great for me but they definitely were comfortable!!Worth a shot in my opinion! Can't hurt to try, they might just work for you!!

Good for smoothing under open dresses but not body con
I was hoping that these would work under a more body con dress shape, but because of the way the compression works on the upper thighs, it does create a bit of a 'line' that makes it obvious I'm wearing shape wear. I would rather have regular panty lines show than have it be visible that I'm wearing Spanx! That said, I own a couple of Spanx clothing items (not shape wear) and find them to be very high quality, and that is also clear from the way this power shorty is designed compared to some other generic ones I've bought. It's a very compressive and elastic material, similar in softness and stretch to Skims, however unlike the latter this is more comfortable and less flattening. There are no silicone strips to keep things in place, which on one hand is easier to wear but also will result in rolling up/down on your belly and thighs if you have additional weight in those spots. I think these won't work well under pants as they are fairly thick and will add bulk on your hips, but are best under dresses that aren't super thin or body con. Also, and this is my personal preference, I don't like the feeling of this type of material against my bare nethers so I like to add a pantyliner or thin cotton underwear between me and the shorts.

They stretch
I’m impressed. This is my first product from spanx and I’m a fan. They looked tiny when I opened them but they stretched easily to fit. And they don’t feel thinner or uncomfortable from being stretched. They hold me in pretty well and the legs are actually long enough to prevent chafing. The waist came all the way up to my bra strap. I find that the legs don’t roll as much as my chafing shorts usually do. I’ll definitely be getting another pair.

Lightweight breathable compression undergarment
I likely ordered a size too small. The compression is nice & cues my posture well. The fabric is breathable. First pair of Spanx, have worn a wide variety of compression garments over the years — mostly for posture support & tummy control. Helps my hips from arthritis & glutes/piriformis support. The fabric is thin and I poked a hole through it with my finger. Fabric is best described as a thick, energizing pantyhose. Difficult to fairly review waistband as likely a size too small, but I don’t care for the waistband fit. I still am glad to have in collection of compression undergarments.
