My friend lives very near the ocean and with a birthday coming I wanted to do something special for her. She entertains quite often so when I saw these I knew they’d be perfect. Eight coasters that each depict a different sea creature in beautiful shades of sea blue/green and real world colors. They came with the cork for the bottom so are very useful even when dew points are in the 70’s. They were quickly finished, sealed and given. She kept looking at them and the pictures and asking me did you do these? She really was thrilled with them. Great for housewarming gifts for a gift basket too. There are lots to choose from so you’ll likely find the perfect subject matter for your needs.

Diamond art coasters can vary dramatically in quality and this is one of the better sets. Not every drill is perfect but the colors and design are beautiful and the placement of the drills is quite close which I have found to be beneficial in coasters. It is a fun activity to share with family.

I have done quite a few diamond art paintings, so I'm very familiar with the products and techniques. These coasters differ slightly from the artwork in several very important ways.The diamonds - these are clear diamonds with a painted on base to provide the color. This makes the diamond very sparkly, but the downfall is the backing scratches off easily, so many of them don't have full color. This wouldn't be too much of an issue, however, unlike most diamond art kits, there aren't necessarily a lot of additional diamonds to complete the project (see pic of remaining diamonds after all coasters are completed...some colors have less than 10 remaining!)The canvas - the coasters are a firm, translucent plastic and the printing on them is very clear...it is easy to identify which color goes where, unlike many paintings. However, the colors are NOT placed directly next to each other...meaning there are gaps between diamonds...sometimes fairly large gaps! This means that the surface of the completed coasters have some sticky sections that will no doubt collect dirt and dust with use. They will need to be sealed with something to prevent this from happenig....I'm just not sure what (Modge Podge may not be durable enough for coasters use).Also, because the coasters are small, the pictures are not very detailed or clear. They are definitely very sparkly, just not very detailed.Each coasters takes about 1-1.5 hrs to complete...making it an easy project to start and stop as you have time.Overall, they are a fun project to complete, with a few drawbacks, as mentioned.

We purchased these to take along with us on vacation. It was the perfect at-the-shore activity. It kept our older kids occupied on the rainy days! They turned out beautifully. Much sparklier in person!

The good: nice quality, lots of dots, fun and easy to do.The bad: the background is a vivid yellow instead of a light beige. Unfortunately several of the pictures use the same yellow as details, so they blend into the background, especially the turtle. The dots were so sparkly that it was hard to see the design.Overall I was disappointed. I bought these to do as a gift yet they didn’t turn out like they were advertised. I think with the beige background they would have looked a lot better. I really didn’t like how sparkly the dots were, you really couldn’t see the design. I used a mattifying spray to tone it down. I am doing a different kit for a gift, these are just too yellow and the colors just don’t work.

I really like these coasters. I have bought some coasters and they are made of cheap wood like product. These are plastic and come with a good enough cork for the bottom. Cute style and great drills. Very shiney.

The product is good but the tools that they come with are very less. Needed to buy extra tools with it. They just give a pen a small glue patch and one plate.

Such a cute little gift and look great once complete. Everything is included and is really decent quality

First time I have done any diamond painting. These coasters were chosen as a project for my grandson and me to do as a Christmas present for his parents. The colour scheme suited their placemats. Each coaster took about an hour to complete so was perfect for a six year old's attention span. The stones supplied were ample and good quality. They look fabulous and I can't wait to see them open this present. I have bought a couple more kits to do with the grandchildren and am keen to try some more complex kits for myself. Yes, I am hooked on diamond painting.
