This game is great for homeschooling and super portable! Love it!

4 stars because there are only 2 difficulty levels and 2 different games with basic sight words. It wasn't long before it became too easy for my daughter. This device is great for very beginner or novice readers.

The game is good, but only has 4 functions. I was expecting a little more. It’s also so robotic it’s hard to understand sometimes.

My 1st grader has to practice sight words daily for school but she hates spelling it out for me. I have been looking for a fun way for her to practice her sight words and this portable game is perfect for her! I love that there are two levels and she thinks she is just playing a game but she doesn’t realize that she is also learning too! This portable game is great to have kids practice in the car, at home, plane and just on the go. My child loves slamming the buttons and this game made learning sight words so much fun!

Bought for my 6yr old to practice sight words. It’s easy and fun for kids to use. Would recommend.

Excellent resource to teach my kid vocabulary words and how to spell them. This games makes spelling fun for my child. It has also helped her to improve her speed in spelling words and also her pronunciation.

I got this as a tool for my son who doesn't like reading, so he doesn't like practicing. This has happened in other areas, and once he finds a way to practice that he enjoys, he excels. I thought this would be a more enjoyable way for him to practice, but he quickly beat all the levels so put it aside. I asked him to try it again and see if it was different this time (I think he thought it would be the same every time) and see how much he liked it compared to "practicing reading," and he said it was a little bit harder and a little bit different that time, which was a good thing!So in case anyone comes across something like that, encourage them to give it one another try and see how they feel about it.As a helpful tool it's a great price, but it IS pretty specific, so as long as you're aware of your child's needs, if this falls within them I think you will find it quite helpful.In my son's case, in addition to the reading part I think the movement is good because he's a mover, and the immediate feedback really helps him.One thing to be aware of, at this price the sound quality isn't stellar. There are some words that sound similar and while my son seems to be able to tell them apart, sometimes I can't. So I don't know if it's my hearing or him just getting lucky =)I would also like if it had more levels. If they made a bigger, better version of this with more variety, more levels, higher quality sound, etc., it would probably be worth the higher price.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

The voice is very hard to understand and my kids don’t really play it at all

Tried this game with my son in Year 1. It was a little too simple for him, but good for practising and a bit of fun. This will be great for my other son when he starts reception though, as it helps you with learning the missing letter or sound the word. Batteries are required but hopefully they won't get drained too muc with this game.

The media could not be loaded. Es un producto para niños entre 3 y 8 años; pero resulta entretenido incluso para adultos. Es obvio que no va dirigido para ese tipo de público, pero reconozco que estuve más de una hora usando las 2 modalidades de uso que presenta: rellenar letras, o palabras completas; cada una de ellas, con otros 2 niveles de dificultad.El audio es bastante decente, y aunque se echa de menos que hubiera más de una voz, evidentemente no es Alexa, o cualquier aplicación a las que estamos acostumbrados.Se lo he regalado a mi sobrino, que tiene 7 años, y le ha gustado bastante. E incluso reconozco que me ha quedado "pena" de no seguir probándolo.Si tuviera que ponerle algún "pero", éste sería que la chica que habla tiene un acento demasiado cerrado, muy británico, pero se entiende a la perfección.También quizás se echa en falta un vocabulario algo más extenso, pero hay que recordar que esto no es para sacarse un nivel C2 de inglés...Tampoco trae pilas; y éstas van en un compartimento que viene atornillado, ideal para el público al que va dirigido.Y como parte positiva: pues todo lo demás; que, para un producto de este tipo, es mucho decir; ya que cada vez quedan menos juegos en el que los niños disfruten aprendiendo.No le pongo un 5 por esos pequeños detalles como la ausencia de poder elejir otra voz, el acento de la única que trae, la ausencia de pilas, y la falta de un mayor vocabulario, lo que puede hacer que se aburran en pocos días.

The media could not be loaded. Es un jueguecito básico con un par de juegos de inglés y varios niveles para ayudar a reforzar vocabulario típico. Podéis observar un poco el funcionamiento en el vídeo que adjunto. Destaco las principales características del producto que considero importantes:- Tiene 2 modos de juego, uno donde pones la letra que falta, y el otro donde pones la palabra que ha dicho. En los dos se practica el listening, ya que la máquina dice la palabra, y eliges entre las tres opciones. Cada juego tiene dos niveles, fácil y avanzado, con bastantes palabras en cada uno.- Va con 3 pilas AAA y tienen pinta de durar bastante, porque las pantallitas monocromáticas no creo que gasten mucha energía.- Se entiende bien, buena pronunciación, y el sonido es correcto, teniendo en cuenta el mini-altavoz que tiene. Perfectamente válido para lo que es.A modo resumen, buen regalo interactivo y muy entretenido para los peques, y que les va a ayudar a coger oído mediante un juego, algo que siempre viene bien para reforzar el inglés.

The media could not be loaded. This is a well made and durable electronic spelling game with 2 modes which have 2 levels each. You need to find the missing letter to make the correct word. There's a clear American voice and easy to read screens showing the words and letters. My 6 year old loves reading and enjoyed it, finding it quite easy. Therefore I would recommend it for primary school age only as it wouldn't be challenging enough for older kids. So overall a great little gadget to help kids with their spelling in a fun way!

Buen juego educativo para que los más peques practiquen inglés.Está fabricado enteramente de plásticos de calidad normal, 3 pulsadores translúcidos, 2 botones de selección de modo y 4 pantallas lcd.Los dos modos de juego son "encontrar la palabra pronunciada" o "encontrar la letra pronunciada que falta en la palabra".A ver... No voy a engañar a nadie con esta reseña, me ha parecido un buen concepto y se puede jugar sin problemas desde que lo sacas de la caja. Además lo puede jugar cualquier peque (edad de 5 años en adelante recomendada por el fabricante). Pero lo encuentro muy básico.El diseño del juego es sencillote, me refiero a los acabados de plástico y las pantallas. Hablamos de pantallas del lcd típico de las calculadoras baratas (aunque obviamente, algo mejores porque pueden mostrar más puntos para formar las letras). Se lo podían haber currado un poco más para que las pantallas que son las "protagonistas" junto al sonido se fundieran un poco más con el juguete.Luego el tema del altavoz, señores... El juego trata de que el peque reconozca sonidos (letras sueltas o palabras completas) y el altavoz que integra es muy básico, se le podría considerar "sonido lata", podrían haber gastado algo más en este aspecto. Además trae una salida minijack para auriculares pero ni siquiera trae un potenciómetro para regular esa salida por lo cual... Básicamente muy mejorable también.Y como último punto que no me ha gustado tampoco es que aciertes las preguntas que aciertes no te da un feedback... Al menos podría decir el porcentaje de acierto e incluso sacarlo por el altavoz o las pantallas creo yo...Resumiendo que me está quedando una reseña muy extensa... El concepto y la idea está bien, pero se podrían haber esmerado un poco más con las calidades y el desarrollo. Aunque no por ello merezca una estrella, yo le doy tres estrellas porque se deja usar aún con todo.Espero que mi humilde (y extensa) reseña os ayude a decidiros.
