Works
Since this is a mix of natural oils you could totally just try to make a similar mix yourself and you don't need that much of it per use. But this made my old (and not well cared for) soapstone so shiny that I said to myself "Self, just pay for this stuff and make your life easier".

Original Soapstone Oil™ - A Game Changer for My Kitchen!
As a professional photographer/designer who takes pride in her kitchen, I recently tried Garden State Soapstone's The Original Soapstone Oil™, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it! Recommended by my contractor, this soapstone oil has made maintaining my soapstone countertops so much easier. What I love most is that it eliminates the need for frequent oiling. The blend of natural oils is very unique and for someone like me who loves to cook and I like the fact that they are 100% natural. The ages and darkens the soapstone beautifully. My countertops now have a rich, stunning finish that I can't stop looking at.Definitely worth the money. If you care about the details and want to keep your soapstone surfaces looking their best with minimal effort, I highly recommend it. It has truly been a game changer for my kitchen!

Great product but the 8oz bottle is a better value
I ordered this 4oz bottle of "The Original Soapstone Oil" to try on our outdoor BBQ island. I've been using mineral oil on the island, and while it looks good for a while it always fades eventually so I wanted to see if this stuff worked any better. My bottle was not well sealed with only a bit of sticky plastic to keep the flip-top in place, but nonetheless the bottle was nearly full when I opened it.I first cleaned the island with acetone to remove any residual grease spots, then applied the oil using just a few drops at a time on my cloth and worked my way from one end to the other. I thought it would take a lot more oil but in the end it only took a couple of oz for the entire 12 ft island! The stone darkened to the same pleasing deep green color I get with mineral oil, but only time will tell whether or not it fades away like the mineral oil does.Despite the excellent coverage, I recommend getting the larger 8oz bottle instead of the 4oz since you get twice as much oil for just a few dollars more.I'd buy this again.

Product works
I’ve purchased this product more than once and the bottles come about 2/3’s full. I like the cleaner, but it’s not cheap. FILL the bottles!

Really makes the accents and details pop!
I recently picked up a dragon soapstone statue from a thrift store that I love, but it needed some serious conditioning. So, I did not hesitate to try this.It comes in a 4 ounce bottle, but unfortunately, it only had about 2 ounces of oil in it.The oil itself is a very thin feeling oil . Does not have a heavy, sticky feel whatsoever. It has a very light scent and I can definitely smell the grape seed oil in it. It was super easy to apply with a cloth and rub into the statute. It feels like a high-quality oil that seems easily into the grooves and applies very easily. It exceeded my expectations. The directions warn that it can darken soapstone, and I was actually hoping for that effect, but alas, with one application it didn’t really change the coloring. However, I did notice after about an hour. It did seem a little darker in the groove areas. I think this made the details stand out a little more. . Also, if you look at the comparison on the bottom where it’s a little more porous, it seems like the treated side is already darker, so I imagine it’s going to take several applications before it gets to the deepness I’m hoping for making it look more like Jade.Overall, I am really pleased with this oil and can recommend it. The only thing I would point out is to consider the value for 2 ounces instead of 4, just in the off chance it comes half full like it did for me.
