This bracket is non-magnetic, so it is likely stainless steel. Stainless steel comes in different grades, some grades of which can be mildly magnetic. But this bracket isn't attracted to even the strongest magnet I had at hand (a magnetic stud finder), so it's very likely to be rust proof.The screws, however, are another story: all the mounting hardware that comes with the bracket is strongly magnetic. Because of that and because others here have mentioned the screws are weak, I am buying my own stainless steel mounting hardware.One other thing: I plan to use #6 machine screws, washers, and nuts to mount my Eufy S340 plastic mounting bracket to this stainless corner bracket. #6 machine screws fit the holes in the Eufy bracket nicely, however I might have to struggle a little to get the slots in the stainless bracket to line up with the two bottom holes in the Eufy bracket. If I can't get them to line up well enough, I may have to switch to smaller screws or resort to filing the slots in the bracket. However, I am fairly hopeful once my new screws are delivered that I can manage to get everything together OK.I've deducted one star because of the hardware that comes with the bracket and because of the fit to the camera bracket being a little tricky to line up.UPDATE: I now have the new stainless steel screws, washers, and locknuts I ordered (#6-32), and the hole and slots in this metal bracket do line up OK. So I am changing my rating from 4 stars to 5. If I could, I would deduct 1/2 star for the low quality hardware that comes with this bracket, but the bracket itself is such high quality I didn't want to deduct a whole star just because of the screws that come with it.

Pretty good mount overall. Installation went without a hitch and it seems like it will last a long time. You might have to trade out the supplied mounting hardware depending on substrate being mounted too.

I have two of these for my home security cameras. They allow my cameras to get much better views around corners. Now I can perfectly see both the front, and side of my house with my pan function on my Camera.
