The AMZCHEF coffee grinder is proof that you do not need to spend a fortune to get a great coffee grinder. This is my 4th coffee grinder in four years. When the Bodum died (It was the worst of the previous 3--only lasted 10 months and leaked ground coffee from absolutely EVERY opening on the machine) I began my search by checking ratings at Consumer Reports and America’s Test Kitchen. The top rated machines were all around $100+ and all name brand machines. I checked the same top rated machines on Amazon and the Amazon ratings listed the same issues I had experienced with my previous machines. They all leaked ground coffee, They are ridiculously hard to clean and they had a short lifespan. The AMZCHEF coffee grinder had me once I saw the ground coffee chute. The design is superior to other models in this price range and above. The machine is solid and well built. Directions are listed on side of machine. The stainless cup is rubberized on the bottom so it sits securely on the machine base when grinding. The machine grind is uniform with NO MESS and NO STATIC!! The clean-up is also no mess. I expected to brush out ground coffee from the chute or around the burr—the chute was clean and the burr had very little coffee debris. When I tilted this machine over the sink, nothing leaked out—amazing! I’m used to a pile of grounds falling into the sink. I also ran the machine for 110 seconds at 22 second consecutive intervals. No issues with the motor overheating or stopping. I LOVE this machine. I didn’t know you could grind coffee without grounds flying everywhere.

I'm a budget espresso guy at the moment with one of those $100 machines, and I'm happy to say that this does fit my 51mm portafilter, even though it advertises 52mm minimum, and I'm also very happy that it still stays put and fits with my bomber funnel! Other than grinder is consistent and easy to set. The fact that I can easily take out the burrs to clean them so convenient. I had to physically take apart my old grinder by removing screws and assemblies to clean it, so it basically never got cleaned. I have not seen much coffee grounds retention either, so things stay nice and clean. The touch screen is really fantastic, and it's really beautiful to look at on my countertop. The little portafilter holder easily comes off when you want to use the cup (nicer than I thought, it has a little rubber ring on the bottom) for a french press or pour-over. I'm so glad I upgraded!

I wasted my time with this purchase. The first one would not start so I ordered a second one which does the exact same thing. I tried support on their webpage and there is no response and the troubleshooting in the manual and on the side of the unit do not correct the problem of THE GRINDER NOT RUNNING! Damn, I need some coffee! It's a shame because the product seems well built and meets all my needs, but it and the first one will be going back to the carbon wasteland.

Wow! I went through 3 other grinders before finding the AMZCHEF grinder. I like Guatemalan dark roast beans The other grinders would very frequently plug, and I had to clean them about every 2-3 grinds, and they were quite messy.I like 2-4 shot lattes, I have gone through 2.5 hoppers of beans, grinding straight into my 51mm portafilter, I have cleaned the grinder once, not because I had to but just because I was curious. I have very little waste after grinding.CONS:1. The write-up on Amazon says this grinder works with 51-58mm portafilters. The manual (which cannot be seen until you have ordered and received the grinder) says the grinder works with 52-58mm portafilters. I bought this grinder because the write-up said it works with 51-58mm portafilters. I am using it, but I have to VERY CAREFULLY position the portafilter on the holder pad.2. Occasionally the hopper "forgets" it is locked and the grinder throws an E3 error. I then turn the hopper to the right, it relocks, and I am back in business.3. The stainless-steel cup REALLY needs a lid! Otherwise, you cannot store ground beans in it!PROS:1. did I mention it's fast?2. Did I mention it is quiet?3. It remembers its grind size and time. setting. I have it set grind 4-5, and a time of 11 sections.I have it paired with a WIRSH expresso machine. The only issue I really have is the portafilter size. The Amazon write-up and the manual needs to say the same thing.Summary:In my opinion, it's the best grinder out there. I can use whatever beans I want. I grind the beans and make expresso at 3am, and it does not wake my wife! I really like this machine!Darrel

This item is my 1st real grinder. I find it very impressive out of the box and easy to use. The instructions seem a little complex, but common sense will have you some fantastic ground beans in no time. I think this was a great buy even though I normally don't spend $100 on an item. It's on sale and it comes with a $10 coupon so I know if you purchase one, you will be happy also.( Splurge a little, you deserve this item for yourself.)

For the most part, I love my new grinder! It is quieter than my previous one, produces a very consistent grind, and does not have the horrible static problem where the coffee grounds leap into the air. The only criticism I have is that the touch screen control is more complicated than it needs to be. After considerable trial and error, I figured out that when I turn on the screen, a "2" appears. Then, if I touch the "+", the display will show a "15". Then, if I touch the "play" button, the machine will grind the right amount of coffee for a 10-cup pot. None of this makes any sense to me, but it's the only successful sequence I've been able to figure out so far.

Un macinacaffe eccezzionale! Da ex barrista posso garantire che non ha nulla da invidiare ad un macinacaffe professionale. Bisogna semplicemente regolare la macinatura a 4 o a 5 a seconda delle preferenze per una macchina espresso e regolare i secondi di macinatura a seconda se volete un caffe normale i doppio. Per un caffe ho regolato a 9 secondi e due a 15 sec. Lo consiglii a tutti coloro che desiderano un caffe come al bar.
