I chose this as I thought it would add an extra depth to my product photos, however, it's not quite as flexible as I expected it to be - although I may have an idea to use it for something else.The box works very simply... plug it in, or install the batteries, and a strip of LEDs in the middle flick through the different colours. No control over what colours are shown, no fancy patterns that you can customise... just a regularly alternating colour program.Ideally suited to displaying glass trinkets, laser etched pictures. I think I'm going to try and make something out of clear resin, but put a design in it which will be highlighted by the LEDs - if successful I will come back and edit the review.Definitely good at what it does, but I think with a little customisation options via an app, this could be an amazing product.

The 'luolety Rectangle LED Light Display Base, 14 cm Multi Colour Pedestal Changing 7LEDs' arrived in a plain box.My wife only mentioned a light base for illuminating our paperweight pyramids the day before I saw this. Due to its rectangular shape it will hold both pyramids as though it was made for them, but for the purpose of this review I have just used the one.The base can be powered via a USB A connection either from a computer or from a wall socket or power bank. There is also an option for batteries; however with no manual the user has no information if the batteries can be left installed when powered via USB.This is a very simple light weight plastic unit but it performs the task adequately.It would be helpful if instructions were included in the box.My biggest criticism of this unit and hence the 4 star rating, is that for an item meant for displaying an object with illumination, the hard plastic feet maybe sitting on a polished surface, so would best be served by rubber or felt feet to reduce the risk of scratching the surface.
